guild tracking system

The guild information system should include all requirements to be a member of the guild. The information should also include when guild was formed and what guild’s primary focus is. I would like to have PW develop a tracking system that tracks how often 3 or more members of a guild perform a task. This would allow PW to rank guilds in the areas of skirmishes, dungeon runs and PVP. Guilds always state that they are active this ranking system would allow players to determine just how active a guild is before they join. A lot of players join guilds so that they can have help running end game content. What are everyone’s opinions about the possibilities of PW developing a tracking system?

The problem with your system is that people join different guilds for different reasons. Some do join for help with Epic Dungeons, others join a guild for RP reasons, or a guild for casual players, or a guild that limits itself to a small membership, or a PvE only guild, plus a few more reasons. How would you rank those guilds. They may be meeting the goals of the guild, but not be ranked very high by your activity scale. Another issue is the larger guilds will be ranked higher than smaller guilds even if the smaller guilds have a higher percentage of players consistently online.

A guild should already list all of it's requirements to be member in it's description. Many do, but they may not be numerical requirement if that is what you thinking of. A RP guild may only require that you RP, regardless of your level, gear score, or any other sort of statistic. Other guilds may require a certain level of participation. As I said special requirements like this is usually already included in either the guild's recruitment statement, or their description.

I don't get the impression that the OP is asking for "ranks" based on guild activity, but a way of looking to see what kind of content a guild actually does. As the OP says, a guild can claim they run dungeons all the time when they actually don't.

It's not being suggested as a system that would be punitive towards social or RP guilds, just a way of filtering for accuracy.
