I wasn't able to play as much as I liked to have. I have to say though, thumbs up for this event and the rewards. I love the companion, love the peg leg and loved the skirmishes with mixed bag levels.

There are a lot of improvements Cryptic needs to make to the game, but this one they did right.

Thanks also for extending play after patching during the event!

    +1 fun event!
It follows therefore, that this young man will be as unfeeling, as unthinking as the dead, until the day he joins them.

The vendor should be back soon, from what they've said.

. . . The CTA vendor will be returning on Thurdsay's maintenance, on February 6th. It was an error that it went away, as past events have seen the vendor sticking around for a few days.

. . . Yes, I am very pleased with this CTA more so than the past events and I have enjoyed them all. My favorite part is seeing the vendor items becoming Bind to Account when purchased. This allowed me to play my favorite characters instead of feeling like I had to grind each and every one of my characters. I hope to see this Bind to Account trend continue in future events and even in other aspects of the game. Also, these were probably some of my favorite looking weapons to date, from the CTA events. Well done and thanks, Cryptic!

I really loved the other call to arms events. I loved the one in Helm's Hold (one of my favorite areas), and the pit fight.

Maybe this is part of me being overgeared, but this was just too easy? I could solo it with little effort. Hopefully for the next one, it will be slightly more challenging :D

I was actually pretty happy with this one too.

    personal highlights:

    1) the option to gain points via sword coast adventures was great! it was something for me to do to advance the event for my toons when i didn't have access to the client, and im enjoying the side game with my comps.

    2) event was easy to join and relatively short. rewards were interesting and enjoyable, and i looked forward to them.

    Points of Improvement:

    1) wasn't quite sure why certain weapons were more expensive then others. my cleric shouldn't have to pay twice as much as my control wizard for a weapon skin...

    2) boxes could have had a bit more in them....for 100 tokens I got about the same as I would get out of a celestial box (or even less in a few).

    3) a possible idea for future events: timed solo "gathering" or "killing" style events like the ones you get in areas (as an example, i just finished the mushroom event in the swamp area...name escapes me atm). that could be fun...running around various areas grabbing hidden treasures or such...rewards tokens and special event items (like the cool enchant relics we got in this one). Just an idea.

Thats it! nice event, enjoyable and look forward to more like that.

Given that my not quite 14k GWF frequently did around 50% of the parties damage in her runs, I'd say you probably could. The problem with the lower level skirmishes with higher geared characters is that the mobs don't have much in the way of special abilities to slow you down. While enjoyable, at heart this encounter is like PK-lite.

I agree that the Event went really well and that the queuing system also worked fast. Never had to wait longer than a minute for a team.

Unfortunately I missed out on cashing in my Tokens and found the drop rate pretty low too. Only one set of Dyes and no companion in over 60 runs. Plenty of level 4 runes though.

Your CW would of paid the same cost as your DC. The difference in price reflected the number of visible equipment items.

CW, DC, and GWF items cost 300. As they only needed to buy a single weapon. HR, GF, and TRs need to buy two items. Two daggers, sword and shield, or bow and melee weapons. Therefore each item was only 150. Making the cost for a complete set equal to the other characters.

I've been playing since closed beta a year ago and this is the first time I've bothered to participate in a CTA event. It was awesome. I could say "wish I'd done it sooner" - but I understand this CTA was the first of a new paradigm (for example: all 'medallions' earned will be usable in all future CTA events", etc.).

    I really enjoyed it. Bunches!

I was fortunate I snagged a Companion reward on my third run (and a pretty inexperienced PUG that was - funny!)For anyone else who wanted one, but never got dropped - the Auction House is currently (read: massively) flooded with them for the proverbial pennies-on-the-dollar prices. Grab 'em while they're hot.

My favorite part: all those Astral Diamonds if you hit that chest during Skirmish Event timer.

That makes sense. Tx for the correction. I must have been looking at my hunters bow when i noticed the difference in that case.
