I took my time to test the power of the ioun stone of allure, eventualy I upgraded it to purple ( I made the upgrade with sharandar expansion, before power were introduced)... but seems rather useless, even at 10% it triggers quite rarely and when it does the monster are most of the time alredy in close combat.. so is possible change it?
When powers were introduced ioun stone had drain life and deflection (on test server), why not switch back on those or pick up any other kind of mix of power/abilities? I understand that right now the cost has been dropped a lot and probably it doesnt deserve a super power, but many player bought the companion when the cost was still 2000 zen, so a bit of love for your old-hardcore gamers would be apreciated.
I agree its power for being in the active slot is kind of lacking. But I don't think it should be changed to something better right now. Augments (in my opinion) are already the best companions. No need to widen the gap between them and the others.
The way I see it, as long as it works and stacks, it's fine. The only reason I say this is because most "elite" groups are all using stones so when you have 5 people all spamming encounters with stones active with 7-10% chance to slow any targets hit... You get the idea.
This.
a Melee class won't even notice when the bonus triggers. On the other hand a ranged class will certainly notice. As lame as the "damage reduction when jumping down" of the cat is, at least it is equally lame for all the classes.
Only got my first Ioun Stone to 30 last night, not had a chance to check it out. Got to admit though, I think the chance to slow is pretty meh for anyone except a kiting wizzy.

Trample the fallen, problem is, it doesn't seem to work, as there is never a dps increase.

. . .I've recently upgraded my Allure to purple as well and ever since, it seems like the slow active ability procs even less, even though it went up from 7% to 10% chance.

For some reason I see the slow (10%) proc way less than the poison of the rat man (3%) and no, it doesn't stack, however the effect is refreshed if someone else procs the slow effect. So really I would love to see it changed in something useful (actualy I like the bonus of the cat..I wonder if is possible ask to have a cat in place of the stone)

. . .The 7% slow proc (at blue) works just fine. As well, the 2% (at blue) and 4% stat bonuses (at purple) work just fine. The granted stats from both the companion and its gear/enchants work just fine. It seems to be just the purple's 10% slow proc that may be bugged.

I have 3 chars with a blue stone plus the Dire wolf and the Wererat Thief as active companions. Although I often see the wolf interrupting and the thief poisoning, I've never seen any message saying slow was applied.
What in-game information do you have in order to say it is working? Any message or visual indication?
It would be nice if there were a Phylactery companion similar to the Stone, in which you could imprison any of your companions and get their (possibly reduced) stats and procs without actually having them run around getting deaded all the time
Slot Phylactery and then assign an idle companion to it.

. . .I see "Slowed" scrolling combat text (on screen) on occasion. However, I do notice the actual mobs just being slowed more than I notice the "Slowed" scrolling combat text. I've just come to assume that I'm missing the scrolling text or it isn't being displayed every-time it procs but I most assuredly do see them actually moving in a slowed state.

It's weird, but I can swear I've never seen this message.

An actual lich in his phylactery as a new augment companion would be ever better!

That's what I believe as well.
