Where to get Peridot

Lately i see people sell up to 1000 peridot on the AH so i want to know where do they get that much peridot?

    Maybe players who spend a lot on keys for lockboxes (if they even drop from lockboxes ) or bots farming a lot of them and selling them?

    Peridot's seem to be an almost exclusive drop from the arcane coffers in the Dread Ring, especially from the high end gauntlets :(
    Definitely not an Arc User.

    Yeah with how often these are found out in the world I don't know why they felt they needed to add them to the Coffer of Wondrous Augmentation. Other than to lower peoples chances for a blue or green ward, obviously.

    They drop from skill nodes regularly.

    That they do, but any munchkin can get those. Spending resources and time to get a very rare item [Adamantine Gauntlet] than more often than not rewards peridots. The RNG just might hate me however :P

    You can only forge one gauntlet per day though, unless I've greatly missed something about the process. You can loot hundreds of skill nodes in a night if you set out to do so.

    Just loot skill nodes in the wild. During Professions, I go into Skill Node Frenzy

    Possibly the purple chests from leadership too I'm sure I've had a couple from there...

    . . .I get a lot just from Skill Nodes and Chests running around Sharandar, Dread Ring, and their instances. I also get good amount from the Arcane Coffers in the Dread Ring lairs as well as the Coffer of Wondrous Augmentation 7-day Celestial Coin item. I feed them to my artifacts.
