So I've decided to pick neverwinter up again after a looooong leave of absence. I have a lv60 GWF who has a clean feat sheet. I haven't added to anything yet because I barely remember what was good 8 months ago, and I'm sure everything is entirely different by now.
Anyways, I log in and I'm just completely overwhelmed by the trade spam. I want to find a guild or group, but there is no room to communicate. What can I do? Where can I go to find a group. Where can I apply to join a guild and get some guidance?
If anyone is interested, post here. I just want some friends to play with since all mine quit shortly after release. Like I said I have a clean lvl 60 GWF so I can optimize and I have a thirst for PvE. For now I'm going to just browse GWF forums and patch notes to see if I can get any ideas.

Welcome Back!
Trade Spam Solution:
Press Alt.
Press the Gear Icon on the top left of the Chat Box.
Select the "Default" tab.
Scroll through the list of Channels.
Find Trade, Looking for Group and Zone.
Personally I disable Trade and kill it with fire and ignore its existence.
I put Looking for Group and Zone chat into a different chat tab so it is there if I need it.
That should allow you to feel a bit less overwhelmed by the chat.
As for a guild, check the Recruitment Forums.
Other than that you can press O (Social) and then look through the "Find Guild" tab.
I did this, but there is still no way to actually interact with the guild other than just going to their website.
Ty for the response though, I appreciate the help.

Once you join a guild there will be a Guild Chat Channel which will allow conversation between members.
But no, you will basically have to listen to a slogan pitch and choose to decide to join a guild. There's no way to interact with them without joining the guild other than asking to talk or play with members.
I'm not sure what more you want? If you are not in the guild interacting with them in Neverwinter would be no different than any other game. You would simply have to express interest in playing with them and see if hey will allow you to join in whatever content they are doing without joining the guild.
I'm not trying to be mean I am really curious, what is it you are expecting which is not offered?

. . .I'm not sure I understand what you're looking for, or wanting to do help you find a guild better. Could you give me some examples of what you would find useful in being able to find a guild and interact with them either in game or on the forums, or both? This might help for us to assist you better in this regard or even lead to new ideas for guild features in the game and even on the forums. Thanks and welcome back!

Welcome back! Many people disable zone and/or trade chat altogether. While not a guild per se, you can check out the NW_Legit_Community custom chat channel - it was initially created as a place for non-cheaters/non-exploiters, but has grown much since then.

Go to class forum and ask Leeroy Jenkins..He has several good builds. I'm a destroyer modified from his build of that. Very helpful. Our guild is Jolly Roger.
