[Shower of Lights] - Automatically open upon purchase & Receiving incorrect amount.

Perhaps they will fix it with the patch tomorrow. I think I heard that the vendors will stay open for another few days right?

Any word of the devs if they are allowing us to trade the surplus shower of lights from coins from our alts for our main? I started the activities one day later and got only 21 stars in all my 6 chars, if I buy 6 mimics I'm getting 6 surplus stars, 1320 lights totally wasted because of this bug.

i had a bunch of stars left over that i thought I could convert to lights and give me enough to buy a fawn but the auto-open means I can't transfer them between alts and those shower of lights i have got have given me way fewer lights than the promised 220/bag.

Not only is this an annoying and disappointing bug, but the dev vow of silence (or so it feels) on this, the horse racing bug (boost not working, gates not registering) and the ever-present HR bug in Monsters on ice is extremely frustrating. Communication between them and us is as terrible as ever.

The festival was a nice idea but every single aspect of it is bugged with zero fixes over the three weeks and not a word from the devs to let us know what's going on (or just a simple sorry, nothing we can do). Just leaving us hanging is not great customer service.

1/9/13 -- Still bugged. ALSO, I had 7 Shower of Lights in my inventory from alts (2 auto opened on each alt) and I bought 1 more, THE STUPID THING auto-opened 2 when I had only bought 1.

PS - After 6 days my support ticket on this issue came back. I cant tell you what they said, but Im sure you can all guess *eyeroll*

I didn't get a mimic on all of my characters, so I was able to trade showers around enough to get a number of fawns while accepting that there would be some sacrificial lights in the process.

Auto-opened one shower on each character who purchased with their three leftovers.
Auto-opened at least two on each character who converted all their stars into lights, one from the stack of 20 and the one bought separately. I also encountered the issue once where buying the final star caused two showers to open from the stack I was holding.
Claiming showers from the mailbox would also auto-open at least one pack, which is basically the same as accidentally selling them and buying them back.

Any time you move this item into your bag, at least one opens, if not more.

I actually spent a fair amount of time tracking how many lights each character had before and after liquidating to attempt to minimize the waste by making it possible to spend at least some of the lights that auto-opened (since the companions could then be traded), so I got everything I wanted, but it was a major pain.

yes, this bug was not fun to work around. essentially, without some proper planning, you could end up with extra lights on characters - why not just make them all account bound? please consider this in future events.
