Weirdest thing just happened in a dungeon, explain please?

tl;dr I solo'd the octopus boss and was immune to 90% of his attacking (immune 9 attacks damaged on 10)
How and why?


Can somebody help me understand this?
I'm level 52 and joined a party for Spellgauged.
And we were at the big octopus boss.
Well the immense amount of dumb minions that don't even do damage? were around everybody.
Somehow the 2 CW's and Healer we had fell off? or was pushed off? and died.
So their behind the gate watching.
And it's me and the tank, The minions were following the tank so i thought I'd go to the big ugly octopus.

I stood literally right infront of his ugly and to the right. And he aggro'd me, I thought we were gonna die and have to try again.

But apparently i'm like 90% immune to that boss?

I counted, and he would throw 9 attacks at me, it would say immune everytime.
But the 10th attack damage me for like 500-1k
then 9 more attacks, immune.

And i solo'd that big dumb boss... for like 10 mins i sat there by myself while the tank was preoccupied and solo'd him.

Now i'm not bragging or boasting, i'm just confused... how in the world was i damaged once out of every 10 attacks?
