Ok, I thought my math was right...

So you need to choose. Maybe get two sleighs? Sell one later for a mimic?

It was the same with the summer festival. Did you check to see if the trade bar vendor sells stars?

Sleigh is BoP, though buying a Mimic or trading something else for it is an option if you really, really want both. That is, if the trade bar merchant isn't selling the tokens (and you have trade bars).

That's too bad cuz I would have liked to test the sleigh during the race.. I'm wondering if there is any possibility to trade in *whatever* for fortune stars. So far I haven't found any possibility to do this and the Tarmalune trader doesn't offer them either.

Well - actually it's doable since the cooldown is 12 hrs and not 24 - that is *if* you have enough time on your hands.

What do you mean? The gateway where you can do the professions and all that? No, actually I haven't.

That's most likely just how far off your turn-in time was from the 3am pst daily quest reset that's the same for everyone.

I played a few round of the event SCA, but star tokens are not one of the possible prizes, though other currencies are.

Just like Midsummer you have to get additional through Tarmalunes to get both.

IIRC they did that during the Midsummer Festival's height, but I'm not sure.

I for one am so thrilled that this is finally happening, regardless of whether I can get every little thing or not. At last I shall have a pet mimic! :D

at the height of the festival, rewards will increase. it happened during the midsummer festival and it will happen here as well.

So long as I can get the mimic with the possibility of having to miss a day or two, that's what matters most to me. I'm still enamored with the shadow wolf and don't foresee myself trading it out for another mount anytime soon.

Ah ... thanks to this thread ... I'll have to check the t-bar merchant to see if the has stars or something. I hope so because I"d like both and I have a bunch of t-bars stored up. :)

I was originally going to use my alts to get a bunch of the BoE Mimic's (and send one to my main) and just live with getting only the sleigh on my main, but we'll see.

Just checked - no stars in the t-bar merchant. So back to my original plan. 1-3 chrs. will get the sled and other alts the mimic. :)

Edit: If they do double up the telescope reward (not just the lights of s), that would be nice too. I just won't personally absolutely count on it...just in case.

How hard is it to get the companions?.... It seems like it cost alot to get the companions.. WHy do they make <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> so hard to get when its just for a Event... It shoudn't be a chore/farm to get items for Winter Events... I play other games as well and doing there Winter Events and I gotta say there rewards are way beter and you can get more items during the event with less grinding compared to Neverwinter... Its like they want to make it hard to get for no reason... I'm playing 4 games atm and doing all there winter events... Neverwinter is like 100% harder for alot less reward.....

How hard is it to get the companions?.
    Depends on the companion.

The Mimic is easy - just look through the telescope once a day for your star and leave.

The Fawn is more grind - 3200 Lights of S. or something. So a whole lotta fishing, preferably with a purple/epic pole. Or if you're speedy, win all the races. Or whatever. I've made almost 1000 Lights today so far, but that's been a number of hours. I'd guess 300-600 would be average for most people before they get tired of fishing for a while, lol. :)

I plan to grind daily and reap the rewards after the event is dine. Mimic is worth all the fishing and fawn is probably going to be my first goal with the stars. The GWF weapon skin looks amazing but I just dumped 50kAD into changing my swords look last week.

I'm lucky (I guess) in that I don't care about the transmuting weapon thingies. Just the companions/sled. Altho the scarf might be kinda cool.

...is the server back up yet? Heh. I always obsess the most the first day. Guess I'll watch a little TV to pass time.

Well it just got strange for the star things. The time span between the first and second star was 12 hours, and now the span between the second and third jumped to 22 hours.

Daily reset time's the same time every day, for all dailies. The time difference is just when you completed each one.

Yeah...think of it like a 24 hour timer counter that starts from a static point. The Daily resets at 2am (PST), so if you complete the Daily at 3am, it'll say 23 hours. If you complete it at 6am, it'll say 20 hours. And so on.

If you do the Daily at midnight, then do it again at 2am, you could say you did it "twice in one day" but it's still only once every 24 hour cycle. :)

fishing is so baroing.. why did they make it so long? The race is kinda cool.... I always get rank 5 ot 4 with the basic mount and on foot.. I don't no how people get such scores on it.. Its the same with fishing... Rank 6-5 everytime I do it... If my score is 100 the top 3 is like 300 or so.. Its crazy....

Did you upgrade your fishing pole using crafting and also you can make lures and the epic quality bait drops from the bags you can fish up , people get the high scores fishing by using epic rod and epic bait , both of which are quite easy to get , as for the horse race score just spam it as many times as you can , your scores are all added up into a grand total.

The race is great for that reason, as long as you've got time to run it multiple times; it rewards consistent skill in running it more than just getting a one-off high-scoring run.

I just got the green fishing pole.. working on the green bait and going for the blue pole next.. seems to take a bit of time
