New Companion Idea

So I had a thought of what I wanted to do with my companions but didn't want to spend the zen or astral diamonds if this isn't going to work so I wanted to see if you could answer this for me. First off I have a greater vorpal and it does not show in my stats that the crit severity goes up. I equipped and unequipped and my crit severity was the same but I did notice an increased damage so I know it works it just isn't portrayed in the stats. So that leads me to me question, I noticed the Boar's active bonus was an increase of 50 percent crit severity to the summoned companion. Now I was thinking well if I have a Ioun Stone of Alure summoned and an active Boar it would give the stone the crit severity and the stone would then give me the crit severyity. Will this work? I can't check it myself because I assume the crit severity stat would not increase just as it does not with my vorpal. Anyone have any Ideas?

"Affects summoned companion" only applies if it's a companion that has an attack, which augments don't.
