I want to know how bad the grind is for getting AD crystals or whatever they are called. The grind for Dilithium in STO is unbearable.

I imagine 10,000 to 20,000 AD per character, per day would be around average for a level 60. Daily PVP + Dungeon Delve run and an epic salvage or item to sell on the AH + Professions.

If you get the Leadership profession to level 20 (takes a while), and unlock eight slots (not too hard to do), then you can use the Gateway to fairly easily do six level 20 tasks worth 1600 AD each per day, and up to twenty mid-teens tasks per day worth 400 AD each. That's a total of up to 17600 AD each, just from professions. Get a few characters there, and you'll have a considerable baseline of AD every day.

Most of my income comes from the Leadership profession. I hardly ever do dailies, because I get enough rough AD from doing not much. Depending how many slots I have going, I can hit the refining cap or come close (including up to 2k/day from invokes).

If you want more diamonds than you can refine in a day, then your only option is to sell stuff on the AH where you get paid in refined AD.

At lvl 60 you will get 1000 by invoking. Then there is the Rhix/Lord Neverember bonus for doing this or that. That will bring you to 10000 per day. Now having two chars at lvl 60 does not mean that you'll do 20.000 per day, as a casual player may not be able to complete, say, four pvp sessions with the first char then another four with the second one.

Then it depends on how much you need. Are you grinding to buy a Phoera a week or two) , or to craft a Perfect weapon/armour (two years) enchant?
