The Powries and Withers are indeed nasty little buggers. I have a GWF in Sharandar and when he first got there, they gave him all sorts of fits. One respec and gear upgrades later (thanks to a guildie), I use Come and Get It to bring them all close followed by Not So Fast to knock a large portion of their health down. One or two at will strikes later, they are gone.
Between the Powrie's AP drain, Witherer's heals, Giant Soul's knocks, and Thorn's stuns, the Redcaps can be a real nuisance - which is probably exactly what the devs were going for...
Of all the enemies in Feywild, though, I'd have to say that the Cyclops shamans are most annoying - their backward teleport and lightning circles on the ground that can knock you back, just make life difficult.
It's unfortunate that the Dread Ring enemies on Preview are both drab and boring by comparison. The Red Wizards are the only ones that do anything interesting.

I love 'em, want one as a pet, so I can listen to 'em scream in dungeons.
First visit there:
ME: Ooo cute little things. Let's rock.
RCs: Wither yer bones!
ME: ? Hmm loads of little feckers. Have some divine sunburst, 'ave it!
ME: Fly away cuties! <then noticing little thin red lines pointing at me from various directions>
<system> AP drained.
ME: WTF, cheeky devs.
Cast some more Dev-Sunburst.
Slide away from Red spots/lines.
ME: Oh gawd where did that big fella appear from.
Loads of little feckers!

Haha gnomes! I love to smash them. My GWF (in Full Titan) loves to gather up as many as possible and just swing at them until they are destroyed. I only wish I could gather more...

Has it ever happen to you to be thrown from one lightning circle to another till all your HP is gone? It happened to me twice. Those things are indeed annoying and can take some beating before they go down. But I am still killing the Powries and Witherers first so they don't complicate things even further.
I hate dancing with Lady Luck. She always steps on my toes.
