I purchased $10 worth of zen today (1000 zen) but did not receive the 15% bonus zen with it. Am I missing something? Is there some kind of hidden promo code I should have entered with it? Just curious. Anyone else have this issue?
The only bonus I know of currently requires you buy a Perfect World branded Zen card and add it that way.
Locally, Best Buy, Fred meyer (I think), and 7-11 have them.
Yes I bought a Perfect World card worth $10.00 Canadian and no bonus zen and I cannot find any info pertaining on how to receive my bonus zen. Which I must say they do not really advertise that info about "bonus zen being purchased through the PW card only method to recieve the bonus %15" very well... not through the ingame advertisement in the zen store anyways...I know I read it somewhere as well in a post or something...
I did learn that last time when i tried that other card (ultimate game card). Not only did it charge me exchange rates it only let me purchase in increments of 5 / 10 or 20 dollars I believe so after i used a $20 dollar card to buy $10 worth of zen I thought I could use the same card for another $5 after the $10 purchase but nope! got ripped imo! Had to contact their support for them to manually add another $5 worth of zen to my account after only using $10 off a $20 card. Quite confusing and end result was only receiving $15 off a $20 card! LOL. (Note that this was Ultimate game card not PW game card***) Was a very disheartening experience...not that it is alot of money but it is the point of the matter.
I notice alot of tidbits of info being thrown aside that is valuable when it comes to purchasing zen and things like profession booster packs and professions assets packs for instance how recieving a epic asset is definately alot harder to recieve than a blue or green asset.
But according to their print it states: One epic, rare or uncommon asset.
Your thinking 33% chance each right? not....
I just opened 5 and did not receive a epic one at all out of them got 2 blues and the rest greens.
They should state the percent chance on alot more things round here...seems a lil misleading imo.
Live and learn I guess.
Thank god girl scouts don't use these selling techniques when they sell cookies...
Looking at the site, I notice it says the promo ended the 18th.
When I bought mine it was during the weekend of that period (14th-18th) and it automatically added.
Looks like the issue is just that you missed the end date.
Sorry i didn't double-check that earlier.

Indeed, the promotional period was between Thursday November 14 and Monday November 18.
It didn't matter when you bought the card. It could have been purchased two years ago and would have been fine but the card needed to be redeemed between those time periods in order to receive the promotional 15% bonus Zen.
The bonus is running again (28 Nov till "soon") As I live in Australia, game cards are (except for WoW) are pretty much impossible to get, I certainly hope that the offer will be available for us "down under" players.

It should work for you, but depends on what payment methods you're willing or able to use. This promo is valid with all kinds of direct purchases, not just a bonus on cards.

Game cards aren't part of the current promotion. It is just credit card purchases and the like.
Per the above news article, only certain payment processors are giving the bonus zen. Prepaid cards are not one of them, unfortunately.
At this time, the promotion does not have an established end date. I would presume (note, presume) that this is intended for holiday shopping purposes.
