I really have no idea how this works out. If it makes your control spell last longer, if you get bonus dmg when you control...no idea at all.....
Since control bonus who displays as % are for lasting control powers' duration longer, the "+400" control bonus is likely for boosting up control powers' damage, as you mentioned.

Too bad that my wizard can't use the Vallindra artifact because of role playing reason. You know. And it has Life Steal. But what does +400 Control Bonus mean exactly?

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Then for RP reasons I suggest you refer to Steal Time as "Time Stop," "Slow Time," or "Mordenkainen's Amazing Time Dilation" (as I have suggested some of those to you before) and that you can call life steal something like "vampirism," "health redistribution," or "schadenfreude." :)

Thanks for your suggestion and help. Yet somehow I still can't simply assume they are something else.

Man you're putting some SERIOUS limitations on your gameplay for these RP reasons. This game has as much roleplay as a FPS shooter. 0 immersion, 0 story, lots of pricks as it is customary in MMOs and so on.

Isn't it better for you to think of your CW as Chaotic Neutral and stop caring about all this?

Or even Chaotic Good will work. You can still be the knight in shiny... dress or whatever.

And yet, you asume something that isn't there: alignment (in NWO).
