XP Conversion at level cap

I was thinking the other day about all of the wasted XP we see once we hit level 60, whether it be from Daily campaign quests, invoking, or even finishing regular quest lines.

I know that some of that XP can go to companions if they're still being levelled up, but it would be great if that quest XP could convert into currency of some kind. AD would probably be out of the question, but converting it to gold/silver would be a boon for keeping stocked up on consumables.

Being able to trade excess experience for campaign stuff would be really nice.

I really hope they take this into consideration in the upcoming Artifact system.

not a terrible idea on the whole.
maybe Rough AD at a 1000:1 rate (1000xp per 1RAD); it would be very minor but would add up over time.
of course, having it turn into anything tangible would lead to it being farmed

if you've played the upcoming gateway dice game, sword coast adventures, your companions seem to accumulate xp past their caps. i don't know if that's intended or what the purpose is, but it's there.

(although i suppose that is subject to change)

Past their lvl 30 cap? I can see a "15" earning past it's cap so if you upgrade it later, all that experience pays off.

My maxed out dire wolf gets no xp. All my other companions are fully levelled to their caps at lower ranks, and they earn xp from their SCA encounters. I suppose I could see what happens if I upgrade one of them. it's only preview money....

I logged in to preview and upgraded my cat, and none of the XP that he had obtained in SCA had accumulated behind the scenes. He's just a level 25 kitty who can now reach level 30.

It would be nice if the mechanic worked such that this XP was tracked and applied retroactively to upgraded companions.
