I know there's already a few hundred threads about PvP, but I'd like to make my own input here.
Right now, glory points are fairly useless; the most people use it for now is to buy things to salvage, and that's not really much of a reward. I propose and complete makeover of the system, and also the PvP gearing system:
- Separate gear into 2 categories - PvP, or PvE
- PvP gear cannot be used in PvE and vice versa. What could be done is have 2 separate gear views - one for pve and one for pvp so people don't have to swap.
- PvP gear can ONLY be bought with glory. This should include all currently obtainable gear in the game so players have the choice of stacking etc.
- At the beginning of each PvP level range (10-19, 20-29, ... , 60), you receive a set of PvP gear to begin with so you can farm glory to buy the gear you want.
- Enchants. Not too sure how this would work, but you could have the ability to buy enchants with glory that are only usable on PvP gear (and possibly have different functions to the current enchants). However, as this would also mean that you should only be allowed to enchant with the pvp enchants, it would render several enchants (i.e. tenebrous, etc.) useless they're terrible for PvE and you can't really use them on your PvP gear, so that's a potential issue. Perhaps you could be allowed to make "ghost" copies of enchants you own (and you must have them in your invent/safe or similar) to use on your PvP gear.
Honestly this would work better if there was a ranking system.
Anyway, I'm kinda expecting a negative response to this because I know a lot of people have spent a lot of time and/or money on their gear and this would completely diminish the value of that time/money. I'd say something like being able to copy your current gear over for a short time, but if everyone is able to farm said gear just by PvPing, it would probably upset a lot of people due to the time they spent gathering their gear prior to the change. But anyway, this is just food for thought really, and I hope the devs can get some ideas from this.

glory is a wonderful way to stack AD from salvage.
You dont want to FURTHER discriminate the PVE crowd from the PVP crowd that is what ALWAYS kills pvp.

Making PvP gear unusable in PvE would barricade players from a readily accessible starter purple set. A lot of people count on having this when they reach 60 so they can get started on epic dungeons.
PvP sets are also absolutely critical to stealth build TRs, many of whom aren't dedicated PvPers, but like to challenge themselves with soloing dungeons.

Thoughts...
1- Everyone would end up exactly the same in PvP and would destroy it
2- Some people would never PvE or PvP making the game split into two social groups
3- PWE would get no money becuase everything is bought with glory and the PvP community makes up a lot of PWE's money
4- Making Glory do something useful again would just fill up PvP with A LOT of bots
Point is that it would make PvE pointless and completly kill PvP.
