. . . . . Indeed, I'm really hoping for an account bank very soon. I'd also like to see more emphasis on account bound things rather than character bound.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I am really enjoying this game, but one of things that still sits a little poorly with me is the feeling that things are a bit price gouge-ish.

Granted, a lot of things have improved and I suspect with Mod 2, a lot more will be better too. I'm hoping that a lot more things will be account bound and not character bound.

Every MMO of this type I have played had or has a Account Bank. It make it so much easier to move items around it also helps keep common items together in 1 pile.
I started playing while the game was still in Beta, I thought something so common was certainly in the works. Logically there are guild banks so, account banks are around the corner, the technology has to be about the same right?

I know the game is based on the same game engine as the Star Trek Online game. That game has account banks. So where is the account banks for Neverwinter Online?

This is one of the things that gives that game a cheap feel to it.
The other is things that do bind pick up, BIND to Character. Now don't get me wrong I understand the need for things to bind. It would be nice if some of those things bound to account rather than character. "oh look this, is a nice Epic ring, this character does not need it, Its has a high recovery I'll put it on My DC! Oh wait it's bound to this character dam that's a shame." I was happy now I'm frustrated and disappointed.

I would like to point out that most MMO's don't start out with account banks, and didn't implement them until well into their lifespan, so Neverwinter is on par with most MMO's. However, I am looking forward to when this is implemented.

This is very true, especially when compared to CO and STO. CO vehicles are account bound and 1500 zen. The most expensive one is 1800 zen. STO ships are max of 2,500 zen, some as cheap as 500 zen. You can get three-packs of the best ships in the game for 5000zen, but they're claimable multiple times by every character on the account. NW? up to 3500 zen.

In CO, character only bank slots are 5 pages of 40 slots for in-game-gold, not astrals, not zen. STO character bank slots are one huge page full per character for free (I think 40 slots), and 16 account slots for free. NW is 16 slots per character, nothing for the account, and zen to get more.

The most expensive item in the Champions Questionite store (equivalent of Astral diamonds) are the Vigilante gear pieces for 250,000. Those would be some of the least expensive items in the NW Astral Diamond store. In STO, the only things that cost more than 60,000-ish Dilitium (their equivalent of AD) are for guilds where the price is based on the assumption 25 people will contribute to paying it. I can get multiple pieces of end game gear for far less in STO than it costs to upgrade a white-quality companion to green in NW.

Temp powers in CO range from a low of 100 zen to a high of 900 zen. These include a 300 zen "teleport everyone in my party to my location" device and a 900 zen cosmetic "Grow to 25-feet tall" or 900 zen "shrink to the size of a pixie" device that only works outside of combat (so it's fun for RP).

STO allows with subscription and vet bonuses and free in-game unlocks 6 different uniforms per character, and you can change every aspect of your appearance, height, all body sliders, hair, eyes, clothes, etc as often as you like paying only a piddly amount of energy credits (equivalent of NW silver, not even a full gold piece). CO only gives 2 costume slots per character, 1 more when you join a guild. But you again can change everything for less than 1 gold. NW it costs Zen to buy the dye packs, zen to go to the body changer, and there is absolutely no way to get more than one fashion costume slot.

So, yes, the prices here are absolutely out of whack with any other game cryptic makes.

Also, the incentive to sell more slots for your account bank, more sales for character slots (People not just making more accounts to have more characters). It seems pretty obvious win for them.

there are actually Bind to acct items already in NW.
The only problem is, you CAN'T transfer them. You can't put them in the mail because they are bound to acct
as for the difference in prices between the games.
2 are subs based games with F2p added.
The other is Free to Pay from the start. This is why you are getting weekly sales in your cash shop.

I would be perfectly fine with a Bound to Character once an item has been loaded onto a character slot. But Bound to Account would be great before that, when it is just in the inventory... (so just replace 'Bind on Pickup' with 'Bind to Character' on pickup as soon as it is picked up)

    Thanks

This. A thousand times - THIS!

In particular - Tarm. trade bars need to become BoA, and it'd be *great* to see mounts either become BoA or become accessible to all characters on an account. Equipment I'm generally ok with the good stuff being BoP - you want it, go out and earn it - but a lot of things have no reason to be bound to one character.

It'd also be nice to see player-made items be BoA (instead of BoP), so you can at least feed alts the purple fruits of your crafting. :-) labors.

I would definitely by more account slots if I had a shared bank.

So noticing there no general feedback for this game.

Even though Cryptic/PWE or is that PWE/Cryptic has a account bank for players in Star Trek Online, why does not Neverwinter Online not have a account bank for players as well?

It would be extremely helpful to have a account bank for players, to deposit items, gold, AD's if said player like to delete/reroll a character.

Instead of rely on the mail system, which have notice have no means to transfering gold/AD's from one character to the next. Makes no sense whatsoever.

    Thx.

It is an often requested feature, so hopefully it will be adding in the future, especially since one of the major things holding back it's addition has been removed.
