Halloween Event Needed Soon!!

To the wonderful Developers of Neverwinter,

Folks, we need a Halloween Event soon - not to begin 3 days before Halloween, but a couple weeks before the greatest holiday in the world! I have several ideas that I'd like to suggest for the event:

1.) Costumes. Costumes that allow us to transform into other monsters in the game such as, Skeletons, Zombies, etc. Or make interesting costumes from scratch.

2.) Trick or Treating. Let us "Trick or Treat" with NPCs. The NPCs could give us candy, and rare collectables. If you include collectables to the trick or treat list, please make them TRADABLE WITH OTHER PLAYERS!

3.) Carvable Pumpkins. Be able to pick pumpkins from patches in possibly a new zone, similar to Midsummer Event zone. Get Carving Knives and make several different designs on the pumpkins.

4.) Halloween Themed Monsters and Bosses. I'd love to fight a giant evil Jack-o-Lantern

Please consider this. It would be great fun for all the players. Also remember, any special items that are available, I beg you to make them tradeable/sellable to other players. This type of interaction between players is great for the community!

Thanks in advance!

Let's not and say we did. There is already the Waukeen event planned, and then we will have the obligatory Winter Festival. In between is the release of the new class. There also needs to be some time for bug fixes.

    Ho...hum....

There is the Waukeen event planned in October and a CtA event in November - and isn't module 2 supposed to be released in December/January ?

Personally I would find a Halloween event a bit too "off-theme" for Neverwinter.
    Hoping for improvements...

Perhaps a focus on pagan rituals with loose ties to candy could provide the fuel for an extended event.

Someone posted this in the general discussion forum:

    http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?505121-Upcoming-events
October 29th-November 4th: Masquerade of Liars - The Halloween event. The brief time it was up on Mimic, there was a quest to go trick or treating in the Enclave, drops from enemies that gave treats as well, and mention of pickpocketing.

They also say Lillends are coming back.

They claim to have found this on the Mimic server.
Warrior Nation. Always recruiting. Check us out.

Do you realize, that only Americans celebrate Halloween? And america makes 5% of the entire world's population. Weeks before Halloween has got to be a bad joke. Halloween is a 24h event irl, at max and so should it be "if" there is an ingame Halloween event.

Also this is D&D after all, i doubt there is Halloween in D&D...

    Uh-huh - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halloween_around_the_world

Given that Halloween is a Christian combined with paganism festival originating from the UK, a better statement would have been to say that only the Americans celebrate Halloween with Trick or Treating, but even then you would be wrong.

As a child I celebrated Halloween well before ToT arrived with E.T. After this we all worked out we could make make equal amounts of mischief and sweets in one nights :)

Walk into any major store here in Switzerland and you can buy all manner of Halloween costumes and paraphernalia.

I agree that Halloween may not be part of the D&D world (although I think a little bit of research may yield more than one official TSR release based on this) but hell its only a little bit of fun (unless yer from the places that banned it lol)

So you basically want all this to be crafted and ready in less then a week. Not a bit unrealist or anything. For an event as large as you are dreaming. They would of needed to have started working on it in Aug.

If we want to go with official releases, I want Module 2 to be Dungeonland/The Land Beyond the Magic Mirror! Sure, those were Greyhawk modules, but come on - Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass in a D&D game? Then let's go with the Bloodstone series and H4 - the only level 100 module ever made.

Hey, while you wait, you can go trick-or-treating in my latest Foundry adventure. Takes about 15 minutes, qualifies for that ever-valuable daily, and... well,... it's just silly Halloween fun. :)
