Below is a pic of my weapon and the 1 the game says is recommended. Why would the weapon thats not equipped be better. I always thought the higher the power the better. Which brings me to ask whats the difference between Power and damage on a weapon?

The recommended takes ALL stats into consideration rather than just simply power and damage.

Also recommended is not always right. Its more as a guide for people who dont really take much care or focus on what and how they build thier character.

One oddity is how the game seems to value 1 hp to being equal to 1 in some other stat. In the example you provided, the pluses add up to 794, and the minuses add up to -477. So, basically, the pluses outweigh the minuses, which is why the other item is the one suggested...

I'm not entirely sure about this, but think the "Damage/Healing Bonus" basicly equals extra weapon damage.
So 1 weapon damage would equal around 25 power. (As power is linear.)

miss moozie i understand your example but when looking at weapons which is the better weapon the game recommends the weapon with less power whats the difference between power and damage? Maybe you can hit within the damage range of your current power,,,If that makes sense. I am just trying to get the most bang for my buck so to speak. I mean if the weapon with the less power hits harder then the 1 with more power then of course Id equip the lesser 1.

I've noticed that the game will always "recommend" blue over green and purple over blue no matter the stats.
    Kildrak Gemviper - 60 GF
    Void Reaper - 60 CW
    Eliza Trickfoot - 60 TR
    Scarlet Maiden - 60 DC
    Timmy Orc-Bane - 60 GWF
    Ranger Jo - 20 HR

The recommended takes ALL stats into consideration rather than just simply power and damage.

Recommended takes NO stats into consideration, and is based solely on sell value.

Power is going to modify your base damage, so more power on a weapon with low base damage is not necessarily going to be better.

I think becky has got this 1 right. Of course we all could be wrong because it seems to me no 1 really knows for sure and there r different interpretations of it.
