As a TR, GWF' Sent build is my hardest 1 vs 1 fight, for obvious reasons. Even lesser geared with mediocre skill "sometimes" pose a big threat.
I play on a 4g connection 95% of my playtime so have lag issues quite often, which tends to get me nailed by there abilities.
I stacked defense/deflect for the sole purpose of fighting against GWF's. Which is highly effective.....until I am stunned or proned. Then I die 40% of the time it seems.
A good TR will do his best to avoid any kind of face tanking against a good Sent. Stick and move, wait for daily and use Shocking when below 50%. 9-10 times even the highest geared GWF's on my server will take 25-40k dmg from me. I just have to evade long enough to get them below half.
I suggest doing the same, stick and move when you know you are playing against a good TR. Wait for your encounters that stun/prone to come off cool down before you engage.
Also, if you are fighting a GF and know a TR is near, or coming to engage in the fight, I would be very careful. Even with BiS high regen/defense/deflect, when you are knocked prone, none of those stats mean jack. I use dazing strike, and when a GWF is knocked prone, its a miracle if they survive my Dazing/LB combo, even if they are full health. Its usually good on prone GWFs for 25-30k.
As far as Destro spec, I roflstomp 9-10 encounters with these guys 1 vs 1, even the ones with insane gear. Unless they get the jump on me and I don't see them coming..which would be that 1-10 times. Not sure on the advice for that spec, sorry
The best way to learn how to fight a "perma stealth" TR is to make one yourself and learn its tricks and intricacies. I personally don't use ITC on my TR or CoS or IS. But I am a weird hybrid stealth gloaming cut build. The best way i deal with both GWF and TR who ITC and stealth( on my CW and TR) is just evade them them until their buff/stealth is gone. Don't waste any skills.
Retreat for just a few short seconds. ( I know it sucks to step off the control point, but if you're dead you can't contest it at all)
Then once they are visible and non-ITC'ed then you go unstoppable and get your rotation in on them. The scariest thing for a TR that is built for stealth is when they are out of stealth and the GWF goes beast mode.

Permastealth rogues are the greatest foes for a GWF. Actually, one that knows what they are doing?
Bye bye ANY non sent/op build/regen/tene GWF.
Speaking on PVP. Identify if there is a sent or perma. Adjust tactics accordingly.
Let the sent/perma have what ever point they are on. Move as a group and hit 2. Destroy who ever you are facing and cap where the sent/perma is not present. They will either stay on point or move back to 2 to regroup and fight mid. The fights that adjust to adjustments means you have a fight on your hands.
Having two of any combo? Good luck and I hope you match.
