I recently started two new characters, a DC and a GWF and both of them are over level 30 now. Throughout my adventures I gathered many Seals of the Lion, but now I find my self having no use for them. The gear you can trade the Seals for has terrible choice of stats and I prefer the green quality gear. As I remember I didn't have use for low level Seals on my main (TR) either.
Maybe it's my play style but for me the first Seals that were truly useful were the Seals of the Unicorn, because I had a wide variety of gear to chose from and I could pick the one with the stats I wanted for my character.
Does anyone find the gear you can get for Seals of the Lion useful, what about the Seals of the Manticore or Pegasus? My question is intended for more experienced players, but all answers are welcomed really.
Thank you.

On my first character (guardian fighter, now level 60) I ran cloak tower repeatedly and grabbed all the gear available with the first tier of seals. On the rest of my characters (GWF, now level 60, CW/DC/TR - being leveled) I'm not using them at all. The levels go by so quickly (which I'm not saying is a bad thing, I'm fine with the leveling speed) that I feel it's better to browse the AH for cheap greens that, like you said, have better stat distribution for your character/build. Just my two cents.
A majority of the seal gear was horrible in my opinion for how I built my characters. Not a whole lot of gear variety, even at higher levels. Either they focus on few stats that dont fit me, or focus on too many.

I think I remember at some point, in the patch notes or something, they mentioned changing the gear you can buy for low level Seals so it would more appropriate for the needs of each class. I might be wrong on this though.
It's not like this is something crucial to the game as the levels go by really fast and you change gear all the time, plus the mobs drop blue gear too now. However, if they put this system in the game, it would make sense to actually do something with it, otherwise, what's the point?

Seals of the Lion are pretty much worthless, imo. Most people don't bother with anything buy Unicorn and Drake.

Eh, I just took a level 30 GF through the Cloak Tower in a duo and came out with enough Lion seals to buy the bracers and the helm, both of which were upgrades over the stuff he was wearing. It sort of depends what you need and what you have. Also, that was one single CT run, so that's a heap of seals right there. There's only so much to buy, so if you do a lot of dungeons, you'll end up with a surplus, especially now with the price reductions.
Back when I was levelling my GWF, he had enough Lion seals to buy the sword at the level he could use it and kept that for a good long while.
One thing to note is that the items from seals may have unique skins (torso especially), so sometimes people buy them specifically for transmuting.
It would be nice if there were some sort of seal fusion process. So, fuse X Seals of the Lion into 1 Seal of the Manticore or something. Now that seal items are BOP I have a bunch of Pegasus seals sitting around from running the Dread Vault daily and I have no use for them at all currently. At least if I could convert them into Unicorn seals then I could at least get enough to salvage something.
they need an exchange system. like convert 4 seals in one higher seal. or just exchange them for ad.
You can allready exchange your drake seals into RAD, by buying epic items and salvage them (if those aren't upgrades for you that is).
But I agree with this poster that there should be an exchange system for lower level seals, so they - with the new BoP system- also have a function to us that dont immediately turn them in for lowlevel unwanted (and now unsellable) gear.
I don't know about what it's like now but when I was leveling up I never used seal gear since I got better drops from mobs or dungeons plus at level 60 I bought my epic sets gear . I am interested to see what the Lion , Manticore and Pegasus armor looks like because I am tired of how the HV set looks and I want a more simple looking armor to transmute it with.
On my main (TR) I bought a couple of the Pegasus items when I was doing a power-up for a level 59 quest. Haven't used any seals on my alts yet. IMO the lower level seal items are generally worse than drops and cheap AH purchases.

Theres very few actual gear that changed. Some of the ones that were actually useful were changed. Such as Seal of the Executioner for rogues.

I think I'll buy what I can and keep the ones with a more interesting skin and sell the rest.
Thanks for the answers.
