Right now if you don't want a Boar or Pig Mount the Favors are useless! When it was on test they also had a bag of the Petal things in the Favor store. I think it was 5 favor for the bag and opening the bag would give you between 100 and 1000 Petals randomly. I have 2 110% mounts on each character so unless they give us the option to re skin our mounts I have no use for the ones from the event. I love the festival, but this Favor thing makes me very Unhappy:(

are you aware that you are not forced to do the sune favor if you're not interested on it?
i mean... you can do whatever you want, they're not putting a gun in your head and command you to play the summer festival at all... or any other content...

No I didn't know that. I was unaware that I wasn't forced into participating in these types of events. I received an email that read "participation in the new summer festival event was Voluntary" that confused me because I was under the impression it was mandatory.

Your sig is wrong. Let's correct this:

I am glad to get a mount with a bonus. I really like the armored boar. I also already have made the pants and hat of Sunites which are nice looking articles of clothing. Working towards getting the Sunite top. Not there yet with petals.

It would be nice to get the cleric of Sune who makes things for you past third level. Already at max which is third level.

I wish the items were listed as ornamental all levels for swords, armor, etc and had really intricate colorful graphics.

There could also be a better explanation that the food functions as a potion when you make it.

In addition would like to be able to do something with the watermelons that roll around. Maybe goblins in the watermelon patch.

Why is there a dancing section in the outdoor area as well as a big keg. Should be able to buy drinks as an RP function.

Would have liked seeing a ring, cloak, and necklace of Sune with a big gold sun.

While removing the petal bag may have actually been wise as anything involving the RNG tends to make a segment of the player base cry foul, I agree that having some lower value items to redeem the tokens for would have been nice since the dailies are insufficient to save up enough for both mounts and there is nothing else to do with these tokens, which will disappear after the event has ended.

Something structured like the celestial coin or invasion bone store, where you can spend one unit of currency even if that's just to get a party popper, at least players don't end up feeling like they've had to waste money because there was no way to spend what they had left before it would either evaporate or become useless.

Are you aware I said in my post I enjoyed the event? I plan on spending a few hours in there each day on all 6 of my 60s while I am waiting for my Feywild to reset. The point I was trying to make is there should be other stuff in the Favor store BESIDES mounts for those of us who already have better ones, like they had on the test server version of it.

They were smart enough to put them in the Tarmalune Trade Bar guy as well for like 30 Bars each - if you had an abundance of bars saved up from opening the Lockboxes you could get both mounts quick, in fact a few people already have at least one of them.

All of your ideas are great, since they plan on making this an official yearly maybe some of that stuff could be added for next year.

I do wish the permanent shirt had been included as a craft item, I already have made pants for all my character and am about to work on the wreaths, but it will take some time to save up enough petals on each of them to get their shirts, hope to have them all by the event end

BTW I think the weapons can be used as ornamental at any level like the stuff from Call to Arms, you just have to pay the ad to skin the item you want covered.

The weapons and shield are intended to be used as skins.

You can make the temporary shirt and transmute your peasant tunic to get a permanent one without having to grind so many petals. On preview, this was available with a drastically reduced transmute cost.

I really wish they would put the Petal bag back in the Favor Store, those of us who don't want/need the mounts are really being left out

I agree. I am really only interested in the mount for 1 of my characters. For the others, the favors are kinda useless.

You can make a permanent shirt. Make the temporary one then use it to change the appearance of an already existing costume shirt. The peasant tunic works.

I have made several, there is one peasant shirt with the petal shirt transmute up for bid on the dragon shard AH right now that I know of!

The only negative of this is that we aren't sure its permanent, just because we cant SEE the timer any more when we do this doesn't mean it still isn't ticking away.

Plus the petal bags would go a long way to help with the pet PIG which to me is the only real gem of the event (not saying the outfit isn't nice, it really is, just saying the pet it the Win)

I really don't see how an appearance can have a timer associated with it.

However I wouldn't be surprised if they patched things to remove this particular transmute from all associated items after the fact, or remove all transmutes from *all* fashion items (or at least block future ones). Since fashion items have no stats, there is no legitimate reason to transmute them.

From the latest preview notes -

•You may now trade a Tribute of Sune for 220 Fireblossom Petals at the Tribute Store.
•The Midsummer Provisioning profession task Collect a few Fireblossom Petals now awards 150 petals instead of 15.

Not exactly the preview original version but I will take it....finally some one listened!
