[Plausible Nerf's Thread (Currently Stealth)] Every TR's statement is a valuable one.

Hello there, I've started this Thread with regards to future Patches/Updates that are more than likely going to occur. This Thread currently is here for the Stealth debacle that has been going on for quite some time.

Now, before I get assaulted with people telling me to stop trying to Nerf the TR, I'd like to add that my Main is a TR...well, my only Lv.60 is a TR. Decked out in Swash, Armor Pen (22.9%), Critical (49%), Recovery was...somewhere in the 2k range (18%+?) and so on. This TR was mainly built for PvE, and I for one, would like to stop seeing a constant strain of Nerf's for my PvE play-style and would like instead to see, a more plausible Nerf for every side.



With all of that being said and done, this is the Nerf that I would personally like to voice out there;

1. Bait and Switch. <---That's it.

[Explanation]

I've posted this somewhere, but the core components of the Stealth Build that everyone has been overly-enthusiastic about would happen to be (at least in my eyes);

1. Shadow Strike.
2. Bait and Switch.
3-ish. Lurker's Assault. <--I've seen a Stealth Rotation that did not use this Skill at all, and instead relied on the previous two above this list, and also on the Feats in terms of how the TR was spec'd. Now, granted, this Skill is a very big safety net when it comes to the Stealth Rotation, however, like I've said, the various TR's I've seen play that style, don't use it that way.

With the given Stealth Nerf that everyone has been trying to get, I've seen non-stop hypocrisy for people crying out for a Lurker's Assault Damage Nerf, when in reality, if your Goal was to get rid of Stealth, why touch Damage? The point of that Daily (at least to me) is to let you have a high amount of DPS when you go into Stealth. If you remove the means of maintaining that Stealth for pro-longed periods, then the Daily (again at least in my eyes) seems to be working as a Daily...considering Dailies aren't things you spam on a Cool Down, they're things that are acquired through AP Gen/Gain. And in terms of Burst Damage on a Single Target...I think that's what the TR was mainly built for right?

So, with Bait and Switch, I would propose Cryptic/PW change it so that instead of regaining Stealth while in Stealth, they should allow the actual Dummy to have;

1. More HP %. (So add a +x% HP to the Dummy on top of it's usual bonus.)
2. More AP Gen/Gain %. (So add a +x% AP Gen/Gain to the Dummy on top of it's usual bonus.)
3. Tweak the Dummy's Aggro/Threat so that it actually takes a lot more Threat than it does.

(I would say to use all 3 for Bait and Switch when it's used whilst in Stealth, but then again Cryptic/PW can use however many options they would like to - that is, if they ever make such a change.)

With the given options above (keep in mind these are my personal opinions as well) I would speculate (well of course I would considering it's my biased opinion rofl...which makes this moot) that the concept of Perma-Stealth would at least take a hit. If that is indeed the true nature of these Nerf's that people continue to suggest, then I urge every TR here to come up with plausible fixes where Damage doesn't take as big of a hit as it would have, were it not for the Nerf of the Nerf.


[P.S; Thank you to whomever it was that caught that 15% Crit Severity option, and Thank you to whomever changed it to revert back to at least Raw Damage/DPS. This in my book at least, shows that there is someone working within the company that would listen to reason/logic from the player base that supports the game.]

    Considering nerfs, rather than what we took on this last patch that is about to come, i would much rather shadow strike and B&S to refill 50% of stealth bar than take the blow to stealth we are about to take. The perma build will become more like a "extended stealth" build and the damage for pve rogues wouldnt take such a huge bash.

    The Stealth nerf has been repealed. At-wills will no longer deplete stealth. Lurker's is being nerfed to cut it in half, but it is not being destroyed.
    The right to command is earned through duty, the privilege of rank is service.

    . . . . .Please keep discussions about the state of the game relevant to the forum at hand. We don't need discussions of the Test Server notes in the live forums, as this is a cause for confusion and spreads pertinent feedback to forums not suitable for the devs to find pertinent feedback. There are already threads on this in the Test Forums. Please post in those. Thanks!
