"Content Locusts" Is a rather odd title. People that fast track do so by missing much of the content. They do exist though. I played wow through at least 3 expansions and each time one was released within a couple of hours you would have people that had reached the level cap. Did they do this by devouring all the content? No, they grind through the quest's skipping any that involves too much time.
People should be happy with any end game content. When I completed FF7 did I then get to have more raids, PVP, extra content every couple of months? No it was the end of the game. Had I just rushed through it missing half of it would I have been happy? No
Although to be fair I'm not much of an end game person, I hit the level cap it usually means roll another toon or find another game. This is why wow was so good in my opinion. Many starting area's that could take you in different directions and a much bigger than most opening game. They then added even more starting area's with there expansions. I think I had 5 or 6 different characters before I could say I'm a little board with the repetitiveness. So people can say that wow had many expansions before it had the content it dose but that's not altogether true. On release it was huge. Each race having there own starting area's up to at least level 30-40.
That is a lot of game play. Much more than most mmo games and one of the reasons why wow was as big as it was.
