So I think I'm getting crafting down, but it seems that acquiring assets ie. tools (hammers, crucible & swivel knifes etc.) is next to impossible to get, unless you pay huge amounts of AD at the auction house. (Which I feel is a bit of a price gouging rip-off)
So.... I can get "professional resource packs" which is almost what they say. (rune stones & enchantment gems are not crafting resources) or I can get a " professional pack" which gives me a slim chance at getting anything worthy for crafting, mostly its what I find in loot or what you would get in a "professional resource pack".
Getting a professional pack seems to take Zen, & Zen = real cash, & real cash = a lot of physical labor I do every day, so I'm feeling like if I choose to spend a lot of physical labor I do every day on crafting I should be getting a lot better than a slim gamblers chance of getting a worthy item.
I think these crafting items need to be made a little more accessible to people that don't have a lot of "cash", like making it possible to advance your crafting tools as you would your crafter's, but for some reason there is a gap in acquiring a green (uncommon) tool.
As for me, I'm not felling like doing a lot of physical labor for mundane items.
So The only question I have I guess is.....Is this something that is being worked on? Is it low priority or high priority?

Very low priority. Early on there was a lot of AD to be made from this, but now it is reasonably competitive so there isn't really too much point starting now.
Getting Alchemy to 7 so you can make your own dyes cheaply (and even then it is not much cheaper than just buying them off the AH), or Leadership are probably the only professions worth leveling for a new player.

And didn't they recently patch things so you can't sell items you crafted anymore?
You can sell the shirts and pants, not the reinforced gloves.
Gemmed pants/shirt sell for 150 to 350k (if you're really lucky).
No, I am not lucky at all, sounds like I should not try saving up for the tools. just doing the math.
Having checked the prices fairly often I do think that there still is profit to be made, but the large initial investment is off-putting unless you are very rich.
The thing is, the tools don't get used up. So, you can keep churning out the expensive items, and at some point (theoretically) you'd make-back your initial investment...
