What Foundry are you playing at the moment?

We're not all authors here, but we are all players.

With that in mind, I thought a thread where we could share quests that stood out for some reason, or that we particularly enjoyed playing is probably a good idea. If we all give time to make a post, with a line or two about the quest, it will hopefully build a good archive for players coming to the game months - even years - from now. It will enable them to find quests they may otherwise miss entirely (assuming there will always be some limit to the number of quests the in-game catalogue allows).

The beauty of this format is the list will be as current as it is historic, the quests will be as diverse as we are and (the big plus) there is no need for moderation of the OP. It won't matter if I fall off the NWO planet as long as there is continued participation.

Obviously I cannot enforce any rules, but I do ask people to maintain the spirit of the thread:
  • Do not try to promote your own quests here. The intention is for this to be a record of quests you enjoyed playing.
  • Not knowing what search formats we will have in the future, please try to give as much information as possible (Short code/Author/Title etc.), for ease of search
  • NO spoilers
  • Quests can be old or new, top of the best list or a hidden gem. Just tell us what you enjoyed and a little of why

Thanks

City in Conflict - NWS-DNNCYAC9Z - a campaign by Celantra

At the time of writing, this campaign has 3 published quests. What I particularly liked about this campaign is my character really felt a part of something worthy and right. The quests also make great stand-alones, offering the player something different with each one.

    TEMPLE OF LOLTH - NW-DT4OV7EXH - @nyghoma

I have been singing this one's praises a lot in the past few days. It really just impressed me that much. The heavy story and side quest match my playstyle to a "T". I urge fans of classic CRPGs to play this one.

(Reserved space for an edit: I will add a few more when I have time to look up their info.)

As technical and atmospheric achievements, I'd put "A Clash of Wills" and this guy's quest ^^ ("Bonderleaf's Thorough Aggregator") at the top of the list.
The Green Zone (NW-DP66H66F6): Train at a top-secret Goblin military installation.
Hive Mind (NW-DN9YKEVUS): Get inside a crashed alien ship to discover its purpose.
Absolute Zero (NW-DOVUXHT8P): Activate a massive teleportation machine to pursue an evil mastermind.

The latest I've played happens to be Nyghoma's Temple of Lolth (short codes already been given by a previous poster ;)). He put a lot of loving into his environments and it shows. It's honestly one of the best scapes I've seen so far. Good things can be expected in the future from this author, for sure.

I'm going to give that one a go as well, @lovepeas other quest is great! :)
Otherwise, the latest quest I tried was The Temple of Lolth, which I'll also recommend!

    Labyrinth of the Pso'nul'ja - NW-DUQJSW8OX - by gilidus

I always had it in mind to praise gilidus's Labyrinth quest so I am not surprised to see it be featured in the Foundry this week. This is one of the first quests I recommended on a guild thread I made for that purpose and is still the only one under the category of 'puzzle'. We need more puzzles!

The Brethren of Five - NWS-DTBRHHFQL - a campaign by lolsorhand

Another campaign with 3 published quests and lolsor is threatening us with a 4th part! The third chapter is definitely my favourite so far. It is exacting, exhausting and incredibly fulfilling to complete. If you want something of epic length in Foundry terms, set aside a few hours for this monster of a story.

The Party- NW-DD33IHKSH - by Nduna

By lucky chance I found a second "puzzle" quest to add to the one on my list. This is a combination of maze and problem solving and is very cleverly executed, with some great special effects. It felt a bit like being inside a fairground Fun House. Well, if you ignore the guests with murderous intent.

Tried playing that "Nightmare on Market Street" was it? Couldn't get through it as whenever mobs popped up I got huge graphics lag...
*sings* "I like Gammera! He's so neat!!! He is full of turtle meat!!!"

"Hah! You are doomed! You're only armed with that pathetic excuse for a musical instrument!!!" *the Savage Beast moments before Lonnehart the Bard used music to soothe him... then beat him to death with his Fat Lute*

    ~Avi~

Revenge of the Fallen is my kind of story; dark and gory. delrachnid has created some great special FX that will impress players and authors alike.

No denying the greatness of ToL, but Nyghoma's earlier work Gloomlight: "Beneath the Veil" (NW-DOA2BOHVS) is also worth a mention (plus it is my favourite of the two :p). It's a great city and dungeon crawl - reminiscent of Baldur's Gate and NWN's Waterdeep - that can keep me busy for hours.

Call of the Wild - NWS-DJFGFU78R - a campaign by redneckronin

At the time of writing, this 3 part campaign is complete. What I love about this story is the obvious affection the author has for the subject matter. That same affection makes us, and by extension our character, really care about the fates of the people involved. I recommend not rushing this one.

Just played through zebular's campaign, really enjoyed it. Would recommend for people who are interested in storybased quests. (They seem abit outdated, and I remember vaguely it being mentioned that they were done during the beta.)

Just finished AC2: Pirate City. Wow. Just... wow. An awesome adventure! I can't begin to imagine how many hours were spent bouncing back and forth between the 2D and 3D editors to create one of the coolest in-game labyrinths I've found. Since the adventure I'm currently working on also involves escaping from a burning ship (just finished up all the maps last week and started tweaking encounters & details), I'm keenly aware of how difficult that can be. The environments in this quest were brilliant on every level. I'm really, really, REALLY impressed!
