Hi guys. Just made a new quest. I'll be trading reviews all week in chronological order as you post. I'm feeling pretty generous with my reviews so don't hesitate.
My quest is "The Temple of Lolth". It's a single player quest that you can run as a daily in under 20 mins if you ignore the side quest. If you decide to do the side quest, "The Phylactery of the Planes", it will double your playtime, but it will open up new characters, new hidden areas, additional guard encounters, and an alternate ending. I do have an extra map planned for the alternate ending which I am currently working on.
Some suggestions:
- Don't rush the dialog if you can, there's lots of cut scenes.
- If you do the side quest, you must pay close attention to the dialog and where it directs you since side quests don't show up on the quest track.
- Certain interactions will require you to re-interact with an object since assets with dialog don't drop items.
- The side quest requires a healthy amount of exploration.
- If you are a squishy class, let my guard encounters tank for you before you engage.
Known bugs:
- Some encounters con friendly in certain situations randomly. It won't affect your objective though. If you still want to kill them, drop an aoe or just auto attack and they will eventually fight back.
- I'm having some sound issues with areas canvased in green fog. Cryptic issue.
- Pathing is bugged. Guards set on follow will have issues.
Let me know if there are any encounters that are too difficult, so I can tone them down.
Thanks.

Taking a look now.
Edit: So much to say and too amazed to say too much at the same time. As a relatively fresh author...I found playing your quest rather inspirational! Your use of effects and the way you built your maps was nothing short of superb!
The only thing that I noticed wrong was that in the dialogue involving "Zovya", the name kept changing between "Zovya" and "Zoyva".
Awesome job!

Thanks man!
Were you able to fully activate the Phylactery?

Sounds great. It's not nearly as shiny, especially considering it's my first. XD I do, however, have plans to spruce it up more once I've finished Part 2. (Which I'm putting a lot more into with recently found new knowledge of the foundry) I'm -definitely- looking for suggestions.

Yup, I milked that spider good!
small things I found, and there is very few.
-the rocks above the tree in Ryn-Xull'Ani is a stuck riding lizard
-dialog "what is this. You(r) new friends..." when talking to the drider
-Ma(t)riarch (send off)
Very good quest, gave me lots of ideas (not to steal just seeing how some things in foundry can be used better)
sorry i probably jacked up you average time

I'm glad you've enjoyed the quest! Just did yours. Love the opening, outdoor map to the castle. Very cool interactions to spawn the shadows. The boss fight was the showpiece. Great use of enemies and very challenging!
PS want more blacksmiths!:p

You needed to further progress the side quest to get that dialog which gives you....
can't spoil it.
BTW Jagger which quest would you like me to review?
PS thx for the notes on the typos, much appreciated!

And I'm REALLY sad, because the adventure up to that point was INCREDIBLE! I cannot imagine the time you've invested in creating such richly detailed environments. The storyline was great. The combats were engaging. I was LOVING it!
EDIT: Okay, I decided to give it another go and run it from the beginning. This time I did not get stuck. Yay.
Once again, I was blown away by the environments (and eager to figure out some of the tricks you used... amazing!). The battles for this quest are certainly epic. And, at least for a Level 60 Cleric running it solo, pretty deadly at some point. Stacked encounters and all... ack! But despite having to use a couple of Injury kits and a handful of potions to make it to the end, the overwhelming battles actually felt appropriate. Really, really well done!!!!
Hahaha. I'm glad it eventually worked out for you. The release switch is a bit of an issue, being on that upper level, but there should be a vocal npc in position luring you over to the spot. The location of the switch was a subtle way for me to make players aware of a secret area in that section.:p

Thx for the kind words Celantra.

Oh, yeah. I knew where I was headed, and came across the NPC and that (extremely deadly!) hidden room beyond the teleport. But I got stuck behind an invisible wall trying to get there. I just couldn't jump out. I finally did the old "/killme" trick and gave it another go (though it was a bit tricky finding my way back), and became stuck at the same point. Trying to jump out of it dropped me into that same place with the two trolls -- behind an iron gate, but before the entrance to the next map in the quest. Really weird. Near as I could tell, I followed the same path the next time through and didn't get caught behind an invisible wall. So I have no idea how it happened.
By the way, I'm curious about your approach to building the maps. They were truly brilliant! I saw some very creative use of detail pieces (such as using column posts turned upside down and lined up from the roof to form a top set of "teeth" like architectural detail... very cool). Were these all indoor maps? Or did you build interior spaces in a blank outdoor map? Also, many of the more "claustrophobic" spaces involved ceilings that you created and kept low (near as I could tell). Any tips for how you went about that?
Then Runis and Docs.
PS Jagger when you select a quest 4 me to run, I'll dive in.
