It's apparent who is the weed smoking one....
I bet he gets 'stucked' in lot of rooms.
But, then again, why read a book when you can download the movie.

Maybe you could make a quick exit door for 'non-readers'...
'Follow the bright sparkles for Epic Loots'
'Open the door'
*non-reader falls into the darkness and is never seen again* <This for the people who do read in quests.
And I wondered why people get confused when playing my quest. Hah, I've made a foolproof mechanism that disallows talking with quest npc without talking with other NPC. So I wonder what would he do when doing my quest.

Don't get excited over comments like that. If this upsets you, then I advise you to take down your quest, because you will get much more like that no matter what you do. I got one star reviews for 'too long', when the player could have read that the approximate time of my quest was 50min. I got two stars for it being 'too easy', and one star for 'way too hard'. Hell, someone couldn't complete my quest as I've included a small puzzle (really easy one) and sent me a PM that I should go kill myself for making it.
If you only expect praise and constructive criticism, you will be very disappointed. This is a MMO community.

If only natural selection worked a little faster.
You know, it would be challenging to make a Foundry quest that had no text at all. I wonder if that's even possible? It's tempting to write one in which the text is completely nonsensical.
PS: I don't think Orodalf is whining about this review. I think Orodalf is astounded at the - how to put this nicely? - ratio of intelligence to reviewing power evidenced by this person.

*rolling on floor* I applaud all you foundry makers. Its my favorite part of the game.:)

Unfortunately MMO's are a mostly dominated by people who just want to hack and slash to MAX level and then complain about end game and that they can't buy any more cosmetic armor etc. They are using the Foundry quests to pass time and get whatever meager points or diamonds they can. There are no great loot drops from the Foundry.
Most people have reached max level even before it went live. These people aren't going to stop and ... OMG, what's this?! .. READ???
The Lore tellers and quest writers are going to get this kind of feedback from them.
I'm a graphics artist and really just want to create a visually stunning world in which I hope the player can get lost in and enjoy. Ok, yes I'll throw in a few encounter that make sense or add humor (yes Humor -- beat the Pirate captain to submission to gain a key to move on -- Now where did all the pirates go? objective in the Tavern).
I go as far as tending to every detail even if the player never sees them. As again, most players will just see how fast they can "run" through the quest anyway.
I have pretty good skills as a writer also, and though I'm not heavy on text -- yes I admit I'm not one for reading a tome, but will read a paragraph of engaging and story telling conversation.
I don't get the "review" thing really, I'm not sure how this will affect my Foundry quests. If they make them unavailable then I'd be a bit pissed off. Even though people may not want to read or sit and smell the horse manure fields, I would like the few that do to be able to enjoy them.
So, I got my 1st 1 Star with Feedback today. For "Hidden Valley".
Have to say LOL'd.
Here's some of it:
back and forth, back and forth, zzzzz
Yup, you need to talk to the same NPC 3 times. The whole map section on which that occurs takes (and I timed last night when I played on a DC Alt) 6 Mins.
environments were thirsting for details - extremely bland
Really? I have just about the 2nd smallest map available and have used 1350 pts of my detail budget.
Music at beginning of cave made it sound like dubstep because it was mixed witg 2 songs and didn't sound right
Then I suggest turning your iPod off, there isn't any DM set music anywhere on that map. Its something I need to revisit at some point.
With 84 ratings, 45 of which are 5 Star, 29 are 4 Star and a 4.4 Average I am really not going to let this affect me in any way other than to make me laugh.

This is the thing. MMOs are not designed for a thoughtful story, the elements are potato chip consumption. Most people just want to kill a miniature civilization, then the boss, then collect their loot. When you start throwing in a lore-heavy story (or in my case point & click adventure elements), expect some people to love it more because it's different, and some people to hate it more... because it's different.
Check out Adventuring College! A 20 minute male-centric comedic solo adventure.

That is not just mmos, that is pen and paper too. My real life gaming group in highschool was notorious for this. Hack and slash got to be so bad the DM wouldnt even bother with a plot; our games went something like this :
DM : "so, what do you guys want to do?"
Caller: "lets go find an ork camp or something".
DM: "So you guys wlk around until you find an ork fort. what do you do now?"
Caller: "We kick down the door and kill everyone inside!"
Six hours of combat later, everyone goes up a level.
When we were not ruthlessly slaughtering innocent orks, we were slaughtering each other. More PCs died to other PCs then to monsters. It got to be so bad in the end, we just decided to switch from roleplaying games to tabletop miniatures battles, because miniatures battles have higher killcount.
One time during a bout of loot drama before we made the switch, my wizard cast "Wall of Steel", and then tipped it over. On top of the party. Can you say "Save or Die?"
The fighter was the only one that survived. Needless to say he was not happy. Too bad for him, I had memorized the spell twice that day.
Maybe Cryptic should make it so that people can't write reviews at first. That ability only unlocks only when you get a certain foundry authoring achievement, like one of the earlier and easier ones. That way, at least they've meddle with the foundry authoring a bit and can appreciate people's work better. And we don't have to see those irrelevant and nonconstructive feedbacks .
What about an ebay-type feedback system where at least you could reply to say, one and two star reviews?

Or maybe ratings by top reviewers appear at the top of the reviews window, like featured foundry quests do. There's already an achievement for reviewing - why not use it?
Mmmm, thank you, need to get the coffee out the keyboard now.

The sad part is, he probably wouldn't make it past "give me the quest already" but in other news, he probably wouldn't know what a "simpleton" is, either. LOL
Oh, and at one point, there's an optional puzzle. The first comment there is, "I am a lazy simpleton who couldn't find my way out of a paper bag. You do it."

It's ok OP, I'll play your quest soon and give it 5 stars to average out that 1 star HAMSTER rating of someone who can't read.
Then I'll post my honest feedback in that rating for you.
I've seen foundries where the track path leads you nowhere, the only char with a sign above its head is a bartender who only says "I am the bartender", nothing is glowing except the door that brings you back to Protector Enclave.

That's actually pretty funny.
He admitted he didn't read text, so hence he wouldn't have read your quest notice.
