Haha yeah what can I say. Getting reviews even when my foundry has been getting good ones is like pulling teeth. The 700 views of this thread have resulted in maybe 10 total plays and half of them were in exchange for reviews I did. Sad that we can't have better rewards for people playing these lower quests.
"A Time Long Forgotten" Whispers in the ForestNW-DPJGEXZJ8- Daily A Salty Sailor's Brew NW-DMOZP625S- Daily Bonds of a Brother NW-DCP9XPZHI - Daily
Just finished both "Whispers in the Forest" and "A Salty Sailor's Brew". Decent quests. Lots of fun. Couple issues though.
On the first one. When you move the rocks and leave the cave. Even after moving the rocks my character was stuck halfway in the hole/ground. Had to use /killme to get out. Saw someone else mention that in the reviews as well.
On the second one. Not really a problem, but you had a group of Nashers in the Dwarven dungeon. Everything else in there seemed to be a devil, undead, or an abberation. Again, its not an issue really. I was just wondering if you forgot to change their costume or something.
Of course I forgot to mention that I will happily trade reviews for anyone who lists their quest here too. On my way to a third 6o and foundrys are about all I do as endgame at the moment.
If you are still doing this, I would love reviews on either of my quests. Keep in mind they are just short hack and slash daily runs though. (Lots of combat and little story.)
For sure happy to do reviews. Will be online tomorrow and over weekend so will hop on yours. With the second quest it is undergoing complete change so will be a different feel to the one currently up. Will definetly investigate the getting stuck problem

Can be played alone without needing to be following the main campaign storyline.

Playing Helping Halgarth
* when we talk to Halgarth second time he has some grammer issues. wouldn't have an use for them(should be a) and also next line their is should be there is or there's. I think. lol im not great with grammer either but this just sounded wrong.
I liked the way he walked into the room to you. maybe you could get him to walk away as well rather than disappear.
I liked the way you had your doors not appear moveable and then change when it was time for them. Did you have the transistional one appear after the objective point? I hadn't thought of that before.
Nice to have a difficulty slider but I didn't know if I was choosing just this fight or the whole quest as harder.
The strange zombie didn't have a response just continue.
Cobwebs seemed nicely placed (I know how long that can take) but second room encounters were too stacked for my liking. I played with my lvl40 TR so it must be really hard at 60.
maybe have some spawn after the other die etc. I don't mind long fights just not stacked ones.
Some of the runes seemed to be floating off the wall.
Loved the fire effects of the fire room.
The final fight I choose hard but it seemed extreme at 40. Should definetly explain that you could very well die. Not tto far to run back so that was ok. I did have issue with the chest though. It opened but I couldnt interact. When I found the final kobold that was still aggroed he seemed in the wall to the left of the chest. When I killed him then I was stuck in the wall and then fell out of the map and died again. Not sure if this was cryptic or your fault but maybe worth a check anyways.
Overall pretty good daily, just needs some fine tuning to have all the details smooth. I try to leave really detailed feedback but some things are personal opinion. I just find that any feedback it better than, HAMSTER quest 1 star.
Forgot to mention the missing ending. Make us leave by the main door again or something rather than press f to go to next map.

Playing your second quest "Making Sure"
when you smash the orb it says " press f to You smash the orb... etc" just remember that the default always states "press f to" and word it after the "to" if you know what I mean. and maybe a magical sound when you break it or an explosion.
Hard to say if this was your map or a cryptic one. It looked dark and the glowing mushrooms were a good effect.
Overall the encounters seemed more disjointed than the first quest. Not sure why I was fighting what I did.
Maybe a few details could be polished again but not a bad quest. I would say easier and quicker to do than the first for a daily but I had more fun in the first quest.

*I liked the way he walked into the room to you. maybe you could get him to walk away as well rather than disappear.
From what I've been told this isn't possible. You can't use the same instance of an NPC for multiple quest objectives. So he spawns and despawns a lot. You can have an npc disappear, another version reappear, then walk away though I think. I might try that.
I liked the way you had your doors not appear moveable and then change when it was time for them. Did you have the transistional one appear after the objective point?
Yes, that's exactly what I did. I didn't want the player to run through empty areas before they had the quest to kill the stuff there. Originally I had a quest objective set to open the doors, but a patch broke that feature.
Hard to say if this was your map or a cryptic one. It looked dark and the glowing mushrooms were a good effect.
I've not used any of the full premade maps. Making Sure was a collection of large cave rooms filled in with rocks and water planes to eliminate all the drop offs.
Overall the encounters seemed more disjointed than the first quest. Not sure why I was fighting what I did.
The idea was that the cave was going to be a mostly a Lizardfolk village. A few Drow came seeking the quest item. Sadly I had to add the goblins and ogres in later for variety. I didn't really want to put any more humanoids into it. But we don't have a large variety of non-sentient or non-humanoid monsters to pick from. And many of those we do have don't animate their attacks. For example the ogres were originally going to be cave bears, but it just looked bad having the bears stand still next to a player taking damage. I'll see what I can do about working the others into the story more.
Anyway, thanks a ton for the feedback. I didn't really want to clutter up your thread with stuff about my quests though, sorry. You might just want to PM me if you have more. I guess I need to see about making a thread for my quests.

Replayed this just now. Liked the changes I noticed. The ogre's were neat. Ran into an odd bug. I'm not sure if its with the quest or the game though. Found the dwarf and I used the portal to return to PE. When PE loaded the quest was gone. No sparkly trail, no listing for it on the top right, and it wasn't even in my journal. Very weird.
I went ahead and went to the Moonstone Mask and went inside. Suddenly it all appeared again. And I was able to finish it. Can't think of anything in the editor that could cause that, but I've never had it happen before.

This is a known bug atm. For some reason when you re enter Protectors Enclave it drops your quest. If you were to log out and back in you would again see it. This has caused me some grief and hence why near the end running into the portal room I get it to say " I need to get this barrel back to Tobias". HOpefully most poeple woul dknow that. This bug has been around for sometime I wish they would fix it. Thanks again for running my quest. I just published my third this afternoon just need to do a test run and I will add it to the campaign.

I just ran the Bonds of a Brother and really enjoyed it - and I liked the fact that even though it was the third in the story it was easy to jump into with very little what am I missing syndrome. That being said I look forward to filling in the back story soon enough.
There was a light in the central room that seemed to flicker and was somewhat annoying - flickering light can be cool it just seemed out of place.

I just ran 'Bonds of a Brother' and really enjoyed it. The sequence in the main chamber felt like being inside of a low-budget suspense flick, and I mean that in the best possible way. You're missing some punctuation in a few dialogues (I'm married to an English major, can't help but notice), but the story is otherwise compelling. I'd appreciate a run-through of the second quest in my signature, when you get the chance. Thanks! @Sintered

OK I am almost at the magical 4.0 adjusted ratings for my campaign.
