Necklaces & Cloaks - We can change the way every other item looks...

This goes back to my previous post about how the game looks. For some reason you can change the way everything else looks except necklaces, I'd really love to be able to alter the appearance on all Neck items, so that my character can wear a cloak.

I mean you can change a metal helmet into a wolfmask...I think this is a really easy fix as well, would add diversity to the way players look...

See my other post here about the look and feel of the game, players, companions, and environments : http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?340492-Bland-Game-Immersion-Random-Companion(looks-gender-race)-In-Game-Community-amp-Life

I agree. the lack of character clothing visual customization is annoying.

    In addition to the above.

Most armors look the same until you get to around 40+
    Dyes are hard to get.
Changing appearances cost tons of diamonds
And you cannot disable the visuals of most armors besides helmet and cape.

It would be nice to change the neck appearance so you can have whatever cloak you want on your toon. However, most cloaks in this game looks bad and the fact that they all clip through your character makes it look HAMSTER.

You really care that much about looking awesome pre-60? With armor you're going to throw away and upgrade out of in a few hours of playtime?

They want you to spend AD / Zen / real money to buy dyes.

Exactly what Cryptic wants. More AD sink / Zen purchases

You can change how every piece of armor you wear looks. If you want to disable it, just take off your town clothes and switch to that mode. I'm more annoyed that you can't disable armor and weapon enchants' animation. Even though most of the animations look cool, I'd still like an option to disable it.

Something I have noticed is that it seems you cannot change the appearance of an item with another unless they are class specific. For example, I want to change the appearance of my Devoted Cleric's "Divine Emissary's Gauntlet" to look like the "House Xorlarrin Bracers", but I can't because the House Xorlarrin Bracers are generic, they do not have a class specific requirement. I could be wrong about this, but it's the only reasoning I can figure out why I cannot change the appearance and why most cloaks (i.e. Cloak of the Drow) cannot be used for the same purpose.

Having the same problem. My theory was that you couldn't override the appearance of purple items with green items. It's unfortunate, as I really love the Xorlarrin bracer look but don't want to lose set bonuses.

Yes, all-class items can be used to modify the appearance of other all-class items, and likewise with class-specific on class-specific. There is currently no crossover. Seems like a thing that could be patched in eventually, but I doubt it would be a high priority.

I have a certain necklace where the Grand version has a Cloak and the Ancient doesn't...
