I think most of us crying for Druids, despite 4th Edition, want the 3/3.5 that many of us became accustomed to in BG, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights, etc. 4th Edition druids do have the option of being Leaders though..
IIRC, Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 and Icewind Dale used AD&D 2nd Edition, and NWN & Icewind Dale 2 used "2.5 Edition", with optional rules. Still, anything Forgotten Realms-related is still AD&D 2nd Edition to me...
