How can you tell if this game has become "serious business" for someone?

So far the only way I can tell is if I end up in a party who discusses (at length) the strategy and tactics of taking on the final boss which includes who does what, the timing of strategy elements, etc.... only to have the dumb monkeywrench run in to attack... which somehow results in the entire party being wiped. 0_0

They have nightmares about their Control Wizard being nerfed.

I'm already having nightmares about my healing being nerfed.... and having potion cooldown times increased by a thousand percent.

And yes, I was making a Leeroy Jenkins reference. People take games like this more seriously than they should... to the point that having "fun" is a sacriledge in their eyes. Kinda like how in arcade fighting games if they see that you're not using moves/combinations of attacks that they see as being "professional" (in their eyes), then you should just get off the machine as you're not worthy of playing (or even owning) the game.

There is a difference between limiting fun and having no fun because some guy wants to be able to bang his face on the keyboard and win fights.... losing 10 times cuz someone refuses to try is not fun.

Same here. I'm starting to wonder how long it will be before we see a Neverwinter version of the video... though it would be very different (no Paladins in the game yet). :)
