I'm not going to get into the discussion of release schedule because I played Rift which had large content updates every 45 days, so anything else is going to pale in comparison. I am going to point out the flaws in logic that many people are taking in this thread and in this game.
1. Why do people insist this game is still in Beta? Yes, I know the devs say that, but that doesn't make it so. Now, we could argue semantics, but if you asked anyone a year or two ago if a game is at a stage where there are no more character wipes and they are charging real money for in-game items, almost everyone would say that the game is live. PWI/Criptic can stomp their feet all they want, but this game went live a month ago.
2. Why does everyone insist that this game is free as a justification for them going slow with updates? The fact is that they are making more via the cash shop than if they had a monthly fee, so saying that they can go slower with updates is moronic.
Edit:
3. This game has by far the worst CS of any MMO that I have played in the last 15 years, and that is really saying something. While many of the complaints that I see in this and other threads are just the same old generic HAMSTER, the poor CS complaint is really saying something that PWI should listen to. Nearly everyone I know IRL that plays this game has submitted at least one ticket. Not ONE of them has actually been answered.
1. Why do people insist this game is still in Beta?
Easy it lets them derail conversations about problems in the game and claim victory at the same time. It's also a very lazy style of argument.
All they need to do is say
"The game is in beta you can't expect X" where X is whatever they want.
When you see it think of this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHmvkRoEowc . I do, especially whenever ****dragon ******kat, or Mr. Meta*l posts. You don't even have to read their replies to know what the content is.
They are the absolute same response.

See answer to 1. Once again it is a short lazy argument that is meant to shut down discussion that is perceived as critical of people they identify with.
Instead of actually taking the effort of thinking they toss out both those responses as emotional boilerplate.
It is a big deal, this game loses players every day, a few here, a few there. Customer service issues force people to leave the game. Big deal, right? Yeah, it IS a big deal, when the day comes when you find you're playing in a server with less than 10000 people and you QQ that there's not enough people to play with and cry for them to do something about it.
Telling people to shove off, leave or quit, doesn't help YOU at all.
OP is pretty much correct on some points. Aside from the game getting much needed exploit fixes, they DO need to do something other than make updates for the zen market. Which, honestly, is ALL I've seen since I've been here. The only other updates I've seen was to fix exploits.
Game 'needs' a lot of things. The nature of this type of game ultimately dictates that it always needs more. People hit the level cap and want new and different things to do with their capped characters (including raising the cap and adding new content to level through).
People that start new characters want entirely new and different options for taking their second (and third, and fourth, and...) character to the cap.
People want an infinite world of options, but that just isn't possible.
But in time more things appear. They always do.
It's hardly time to push the panic button.
They do not do themselves any favors, though, with the speed of leveling here.
Heres a couple paragraphs from the "State of the Game" annoucement they made.
On the opposite side, we do have a lot of things in the works (including the list above) that we’ve been spending much more time on, rather than trying to rush them out the door as quickly as possible. Because we are treating Neverwinter as a live game, we’re making sure to spend the appropriate amount of time planning and testing these changes before they go live.
Speaking of testing, as we progress through OBT and near the official live launch, we'll be standing up a Public Test Shard or PTS. That way we can make "Wild West" changes on there and ensure that only quality fixes make it into the OBT. To those who have played our other games, you probably know that this is one of the main ways that we fix bugs, collect feedback, and stress test our games before the content goes to the live servers
Making a Test server for a beta is a little redundant no??

And who decides whether a class does or doesn't suck? Probably the OP thinks that they, and they alone, are the judge.
So OP thinks what? That they should be put in charge of class design?
