    "lfm spellplague" x2 = ban 24h

Did you double post? If so, then you were probably placed on ignore by lots of people.

Anyone looking for a group will see it, even if you only post it once.

Seriously I think people just don't understand that when you try to use tactics to "stand out" in zone chat like posting multiple times or using caps you will end up annoying people and get mass-ignored.

Think of it this way, if everyone stopped doing this, zone chat wouldn't be as much of a mess as it is now, and you wouldn't feel like you need to do things like this to get yourself heard. If you post messages multiple times or use all caps you're just contributing to the problem.

When I recruit for my guild, I have one message I post to zone chat, but I only post it once every 5-10 minutes. I know that if someone is looking for a guild, they'll scroll through chat and see my message. Never been chat banned for this.

When I want to sell some keys or other things, I post one message to the custom "trade" chat channel, and I've been very successful finding like-minded people there to deal with. Never been chat banned for this.

When I want to get in a group for a specific dungeon, I go to the zone that dungeon is in, and post a single line looking for a group. I do not post more than once every 5 minutes. I've been quite successful getting into groups this way, usually on the first try, and I have never been chat-banned for it.

Actually, you aren't a paying customer. You pay for certain items that you want to use in a Free-2-Play game.

To be honest I report spam only in certain cases, in which case I've added a few:
    1. Perversion
    2. Moderate and higher cursing
    3. People call other people inappropriate names
    4. People putting down the religion of others
    Added:
    5. People constantly spamming guild recruitment. (because there is a place that people can check guilds out)
    6. People constantly spamming looking for parties and runs (because there is a place the people can check for this too)
    7. People advertising the items they have for sale that are in the Auction House.

It gets annoying when people ask questions and you have to run back 20 spam posts in 10 seconds just to see the question again or who asked it.

^ I ignore all those who do that above. Which means I have a pretty long ignore list.

Really? You guys really think a 24 hour ban is just for writing a line in caps?

If you think that's actually what happened here, you got trolled.

And if you think it doesn't happen, you're naive'.

Also, I've been doing some observational data gathering. The ONLY zone chat I see that I can enter that could be termed as "flooded" is Protector's Enclave. Literally every other zone is quiet, other than the occasional group request.

Applying logical deduction, this means all the people complaining about zone chat being flooded are just sitting in PE doing nothing except griefing other players by abusing the report spam function or just plain ignoring them, as both have the same silence feature.

So, to reiterate....the players that are complaining about zone chat being "cluttered" are just sitting in one zone, can't be bothered to move out of Protector's Enclave, can't be bothered to remove zone chat from their tabs, can't be bothered to make their own chat channel, but ask that the very same be done just for trade, can't be bothered to do much of anything except what they're doing. Griefing.

Sorry, but you're the problem, not the solution.

Occam's Razor makes the cutting clean.

Out of everything I said, you honed in on the part of me saying I was a paying customer? OK that's is fine. Let me clarify. I bought the $60 founders pack. omg +3 mount and founders title is so pay to win right?!

You are so naive to think that a major company with hundreds of employees and thousands of customers is a "good company" just because YOU have had zero issues so far. You feel so strongly about this that you feel compelled to talk down to anyone who comes forward to say they got screwed. Lets be realistic here. Even with the best companies in the world, sometimes customers have very bad experiences. In this case, it happens to be many people who feel strongly enough to come on the internet to share their story. Even if it means being trolled or made fun of by oblivious people living in a dream world where they treat big companies as if it was one entity or person who can't possibly be fallible because your experience has been fine so far. This is a case of buyer beware, and I am putting my story out there with the sea of others to hopefully have an effect.

I find it very funny that this is the way that you took my post.

I was not expecting such a unique interpretation of my post.

    I am pleased.
