It is the only non-combatant pet that gives you ALL of it's stats as your own.

    Stopped reading right there. Foolishness.

This is not what the cat does then? Good to know thanks.

Of course it's what the cat does. And the stone. And the other stone. To say it's the ONLY pet to be an augment pet makes me stop reading.

So the SS posted is BS?

Just because the forums warriors and great defenders of NW claim it's false does not necessarily mean it is.

So NO companions work for PvP? Ok then is it a bug? or just BS?

The screenshot posted exactly backs up what we are saying, notice the buffed stats is before they've joined the queue and the reduced when they are in the pvp zone. NO companions in pvp.

This is so silly. All Augment pets give ALL stats to the owner. As they level, however, they only gain extra stats in those named. The Cat, for example, has a focus on Crit and Recovery. And they CANNOT be used in PvP.

The whole point of the Augment companions is to increase your stats while sacrificing the benefits of an active companion.

And If you really believe that the Cat makes those exploits, you're horribly misinformed.

Ah ok thanks, just wasn't sure what they were trying to claim.

The thread is a non issue as stated by others the cat cant be used in pvp. and you can get similar effect from ion stone. cat and ion stones were for people who complained they didn't want to use "combat pets" but felt they were gimping themselves if they didn't.

But i've noticed there is a lot of hate aimed at people who buy a lot of AD/Zen based items maybe its their way of protesting Cash shop prices to try to throw hate at people with cash shop toys. oddly enough I don't get as that much grief for founders items probably cause they are common. but I have been hated for the items I spent my founders AD on.

I think what they should do is retire some of the current items (cat)and put out some new items with slightly different skins/names but basically the same function for the people buying stuff legitimately.

I'm pretty sure that most, if not all, cats out there were legitimately bought. I have three, on my two wizards and my GF, and I bought those a couple weeks ago already, I haven't seen any serious offers for cats below the vendor price in either the zone chat or the AH, either, and I generally don't spot very many. I have never gotten any negative reactions either.

I like the cat. It's fluffy, it meows and it doesn't get itself killed all the time. :)

People who cannot afford to "keep up with the jones' " will always hate Item shop based games. I have not spent a dime yet but the way I see it. Those willing to spend money support the game that I play for free and I have no problem with them having cool and useful items because of that.

To eliminate people from being stupid, here's a nice BIG sign for those who can't read the fine print:

COMPANIONS DO NOT WORK IN PVP! CATS DO NOT BUFF YOU IN PVP!

A wise thing to say. The fact is that the F2P model needs both free players and cash players. The cash players obviously keep the game profitable for the developers and pay to keep the servers running, and the free players make the community larger and (in the case of this one) give the cash players more currency to buy into. It's a symbiotic relationship where neither group should bash the other because they both serve their purpose.
