This will be written mostly in the past-time that goes by Chapters 1,2,3 etc in the perspective of some Storyteller, maybe written by Allizsha herself? who knows. If you ask the Character ingame (Mindflayer) she probably will tell you more. Some say shes currently often found in the Moonstone Mask.
Female Tiefling ControlWizard
- The story will go 3 to 4chapters. but I'm not sure about the 4 yet.
'Golden Hope of an Tiefling'
'Chapter I - A New Hope'
Allizsha Malith is like most Tieflings, the outcome of a Human and a Devil.
Her father Vargen Malith, was a experienced and popular adventurer and Wizard that was quite famous for his magic skills and advices in all sorts of problems.
He and his former friends and companions were out in the deep plains of the Underdark to gain glory, treasures and to find various magic items for his later studies.
But the Underdark was way more dangerous than they've imagined it would be.
One after one the party got smaller. Until only Vargen was left. He was desperate and depressed about the death of his good friends. Lost in sanity and place he kept walking deeper and deeper into the him unknown Underdark with nothing more to lose. A couple of hours after plan less walking he came to a big open place with a huge circle in the middle that was surrounded by lava. Curious about this strange place he came closer to see more of it. Suddenly he felt a strange feeling and some kind of danger, like his mind wanted to warn him from something. But due to the fact he lost everyone of his precious friends to the dangers and monsters of this scary place, he just ignored it.
He then saw the shadow of a Woman in the distance, as he came closer he could saw Horns and a Tail but it wasn’t really important to him in this moment, he was stunned by her beauty and couldn’t even move or think anymore. He has entered the lair of a Succubi named Vallishtras The Iron Tail.
The only thing Vargen Malith remembered was that he awoke back at his home in Neverwinter, next to his bed there was a basket with a weird looking baby and a letter next to it. The letter was written in some kind of elvish but thanks to his Studies he could translate almost all of it.
The letter said: "vendui rivvil,
you may not know me, but i do know you. I'm sure you killed a lot of my kind but that doesn't matter now because we have the same enemy, thats the reason I'll try to help you. My Name is Felyn'vyll Barri'tlar, a Drow-"renegade" that followed you and your Companions almost the whole time along your journey, i have to admit, it was interesting to watch you.
I saw you at the end in the lair of a succubus and experienced something like never before. You almost died there after the monster was done with you, but you formed a kind of Magic-Protection around you that made you impossible to hit. After a while the succubus gave up and i could safe you. You were unconscious but somehow -- not. Its hard to explain, your magic-bubble talked for you while you were sleeping - only in my mind--not direct. Are you some kind of High Ranked Rivvin Wizard? I have never seen something like this before, in the night i brought you to an easy place to find on the surface then i went back to rescue the baby because i thought i couldn't leave it in the hands of such a devilish creature - i read in some books that you rivvin are a kind and protective race so i hope you will raise the child.. I'll watch over you in hope nobody of my fellow Drow are following you to the surface, even if i doubt it. I hope you see that not every one of my kind is pure evil.
- aluve' rivvil"
Vargen was shocked. And didn’t know what to do in this situation. He asked a Guard in front of his House for how long he was gone, the Guard told him that he was unharmed but found without any Gold outside of the Town, unconscious for about ten months, but somehow he had put himself in a sort of magic bubble that froze and protected him. Still shocked and depressed about the loss of his Friends and former Group members, he pushed all the blame on the devil-baby.
In the next Morning he took the basket she was lying in and put it somewhere in the woods in the hope she would be eaten by wolves.
He then ran away from home and was never seen again. Some say he got crazy, some say he died.
Felyn'vyll by the other hand, watched him the whole time like she said in the letter and aired to help the Child--again.
She then, gave her the name Allizsha and raised her in secret in a tiny house back in the Northdark where she would teach the Child how to survive the dangers of the Underdark and to tell her the story of her father.
Years later they got discovered and ambushed by Drow Raiders, Felyn'vyll tried her best to protect her 'adopted' Child, with movement so fast and elegant as the wind and attacks with the strength of an Ogre she slew one after another of the endless from all sides incoming Raiders. Allizsha, only sixteen years old at this moment hid under a table in hope they wouldn't get to her. But Felyn'vyll didn't stand a chance against the Hordes of heavy armored, trained invaders - while focusing on her front one of the Raiders cowardly ram a Dagger into her back. Shocked in fear and the loss of the only person that ever loved her, suddenly Allizsha's arcane magic unleashed their full potential and wiped all of the remaining Intruders out in one single blow. After coming to her senses and upon realizing the massacre she did. Allizsha decided, that she had to flee. With no place to live and endless fears over her remaining life, she decided to go to the surface.
She remembered the time Felyn'vyll or in short "Felyn" as Allizsha liked to call her, showed her the path that leads to the Surface - and in emergency situations she should just run there to escape.
But one of the Drow Raiders waited at the exit - almost three heads taller than her, long silvery hair, dark skin and red glowing eyes, he stood there with an bright smirk on his face and one sword in each hand. Allizsha was almost stunned in fear of this deadly looking man - she thought that this will be the end - no way she would beat him. But she quickly decided that the death of Felyn couldn't be for nothing, so she took all of her remaining courage to face the grim looking Drow.
After realizing the Tiefling was serious the Raider yelled:
"natha dalhar? xuat talinth dos fre'sla natha mayar.. dos orn morfeth natha bwael rothe!"
Felyn'vyll taught her to speak and understand her language so Allizsha knew that he said: "a child? don't think you stand a chance.. you will make a good slave!"
..after hearing those words, she knew its everything or nothing, no way she would end up a slave or even worse, remembering all the hurtful things that happened before - and the loss of the only trustful person she loved - she unleashed with an mighty yell one single Arcane-Beam. The Drow was so overwhelmed about this sudden power that he had no chance to evade the attack.
After the defeat of the last and final enemy - she fled to the Surface in hope of a better live.
Allizsha is talented in all sorts of Magic especially the Arcane Arts and not like most of her gifted Tiefling brethren she didn't want to use Evil magic and become a Warlock but more a arcane Wizard instead even if shes more a Sorcerer because of her born talent in magic - it is due to the fact that all Mages are getting called Wizards anyway.
Shes very beautiful, seductive, intelligent, and calm. But pessimistic and very sarcastic, she prays to Oghma in search of knowledge to the her unknown new world. Her favorite two Magic Schools are: Evocation and Abjuration.
She knew almost nothing about her father so she dropped the surname Malith and decided to become an Adventurer like him, only with the difference that she would explore the secrets of the Surface.
'Chapter II - Not All Drow Are Evil'
The Northdark - one of the places, a person shouldn't go if it isn't really urgent. Drow, dangerous monsters and worse are found in this big and dark place. It's usually not easy to find another safe place or escape if Drow-Slavers are chasing after one and it leads almost every-time in a capture. Dark Elves, Drow or ilythiiri as they call themselves have dark black to light gray skin, usually pure white, silver or gray hair, most Drow have red eyes but violet and green are possible too. By an closer look there is a slight red shine in their eyes visible if in the dark, and they are a bit tinier than their other Elven brethren. Drow have a brutal matriarchal society in which only the strongest survive. Divided in many Houses, those families are in the endless fight against other clans and Houses for more and more might in their politics, Drow usually have the same lifespan as other Elven but unfortunate, due to the hard life in the Underdark, the huge pressure and wars against other Houses, most of them die really young. Even within their own families there is a endless fight going on about inner ranks and the influence about politics, it's simple; you get rid of the one above you. This hard rule is the reason, many young children are getting poisoned or die by the hand of an Assassin. Drow see themselves as superior over most other races, thats why slaves play an important role in Drow-Society. Most Drow are cruel and very sadistic, and the beating up, torturing or even killing of slaves is not considered terrible - slaves life to die.
There isn't much known about Drow-Culture, because usually the conversation leads into the death of the person that has got the courage to ask. It is forbidden for non-ilythiiri to speak their language and can result in really uncomfortable situations. However, some slaves have the opportunity to learn a couple of words so they can better interact with their masters and slavers.
One that breaks the rules of their House but didn't get killed in an instant, will end up thrown out of the House and/or the whole city branded a renegade or traitor. One could say its a harder punishment to life outside of the save Towns, with all the creatures that wait in the dark than getting killed by the leader of the House, even the most trusting Drow wont tell you the story how they ended up in exile, but most situations are due to fail in battle, wrong interactions with the house-slaves or misunderstandings with the leader of the House.
One of them was Felyn'vyll Barri'tlar, a Ranger of House Barri'tlar, a quite young and little House compared to others, but strict and with the goal to become one of the strongest Houses in Menzoberranzan. It is unknown how she ended up this way, not even Allizsha knows anything except her past as Ranger and her name.
Felyn'vyll has long silver hair that goes up to her shoulders, light gray skin, violet colored eyes that have a red shine in the dark, no scars visible, and a pretty but strict face. She wears dark leather armor and wields usually two short swords, one hidden dagger and throwing knifes. Skilled in battle and experienced in surviving the dangers of the Underdark, there was no doubt that she would survive years over years without any further problems. One day at the hunt for food, she spotted humanoid tracks - her experience told her that it should be five of them. But to big for Drow, and to tiny for Dwarfs. So she followed them to see what went this way. On the way she found a corpse - a Human, something rare in this place, he had still all of his belongings, so its impossible that he died by the hand of others - at a second look, he got a lot of bite wounds. She kept following the trail to find out more. The second corpse was again, by an Human in plate armor. He got his whole arm ripped off and probably died even before the blood-loss. Felyn'vyll asked herself, what kind of beast it is that makes such enormous wounds. Some time later she found three other corpses, the corpse of two Humans and a Dwarf, a Duergar to be exact. Both Humans died due to deep Axe wounds, the Dwarf had freezing wounds all over his body. She thought it could be that the remaining adventurer is a Spellcaster.
Now catched by her own curiosity she followed the last tracks until she came to an cave.
A big room with lava at the sides and a circle in the middle. And there was a human standing in the middle of the room, next to him a woman. The man was floating in some kind of magic bubble and the woman then suddenly changed form, Felyn'vyll saw that it was a Succubi so she stepped back a bit to hide better in the shadows. The monster run away after it tried to open the magic shield the man had created. Felyn'vyll saw her chance and quickly ran towards the man to bring him into safety. After touching the bubble, some kind of magic shock slipped through her body. Not painful but she then could hear a voice in her mind. A male deep voice, not angry at all, the voice was calm and steady and even spoke in her own language. It told her that he lost all of his friends, lost everything he would live for to this godforsaken place, and that he only wants back to his home in Neverwinter.
Felyn'vyll decided that she would bring him to the surface. She knew a secret way without any monsters or Drow they could take.
After reaching the surface she placed the floating man in front of a street so somebody would find him, after letting lose of the bubble, the last words of the calm-voice went through her mind. "safe my daughter... i beg you"
Vargen Malith was well known in the region so a by-passing Guard brought him back to his house.
After returning to the dark place she called her home. Felyn'vyll returned after exactly ten months passed, to the cave the Succubus lived in.
She quickly found a baby lying at the ground, so she grabbed it and run. While running with enormous speed - the baby in one hand, a sword in the other, she sliced with one single precise blow the throat of the Monster while by-passing it.
Next night after coming back to the surface world she asked some bypassing Humans where she can find 'named-spellcaster', of course not directly - she did hold them from behind and asked 'kindly' to tell her if they want to life.
After sneaking past the City Guards of Neverwinter she broke into the mans house and placed the baby next to his bed in one of the baskets she found earlier. Together with an letter she prepared before. While holding a fair amount of distance she watched over the man and his next actions.
Only to see that it seems that Humans aren't so different from Drow in things like cruelty.
Vargen placed the Tiefling baby in a wood outside of Neverwinter. Felyn'vyll quickly rushed in to get the baby after Vargen left.
Back at her home, she didn't exactly know what to do now, but then she came to the decision that she would raise the child until she is ready to come back to her father at the surface.
Years have passed and the child named Allizsha had a happy life - Felyn'vyll told her the story of her father, taught her how to hunt, to fight close-combat, to keep an eye on her surroundings and how to move quick and elegant without losing any amount of speed.
Everything went good until the one day after Allizsha's sixteenth birthday.
A group of Drow-Raiders discovered Felyn'vyll and now they thirst for the life of the exiled Ranger.
Felyn'vyll heard them outside, way before Allizsha did. So she kept her blades ready - without a serious fight in over sixteen years she wasn't sure about her shape. She quickly turned to Allizsha whispering in her ear; "Do you remember the secret exit i once showed you?" Allizsha answered with an nod, followed by Felyn'vyll saying "good, go there if something should happen to me, let me tell you, i loved you like one of my own blood, everything i may have to do now is for you - now hide somewhere, only come out if i tell you so or if you feel it's safe, remember what i taught you about inspecting your surroundings!"
At the exact same moment suddenly Intruders broke through the door and the windows.
To many to count - to many to fight at the same time. Felyn'vyll came to the conclusion that this could probably be the end so she tried to keep calm and remember all of her training. She may not survive this - but she could try to take as many with her as possible so Allizsha has a better chance to flee.
She then engaged the intruders, quick as the wind - with movements that seemed like she danced through them. Throwing knifes followed by one to three quick hits with her two swords, turning around to use her dagger for another kill. The last elegant blade-dance of an Ranger that tried to do good for her own kind and now has to bear the hate of many - killing one after another of the endless incoming Drow it all stopped suddenly as Felyn'vyll felt an sharp pain in her back. Upon realizing one of them sneaked up to her and ram an dagger in her back, she then collapsed moments after.
In this moment all of the remaining secrets over her past died with her.
If there is one word that would describe the difference between the Surface and the Underdark, it would have been 'shattering', almost two completely different worlds one with sunlight and colorful landscapes, the other with dark environment and monsters in every corner for somebody that was raised in one of them it has to be really hard to get used to the other, it can be easy to escape the surface, but not to flee from the Underdark - its possible that you encounter one of the various monsters on your way - or even worse; you run into the hands of Drow and end a slave should you survive, however there are a lot of tunnels that lead to the surface and some of them are hidden.
The Northdark - one of the zones in the Underdark, lies beneath Waterdeep, and a usual exit would lead to the near of it. Felyn'vyll, however, showed Allizsha one of the secret tunnels that lead her on a direct way to Neverwinter, the exact same she took to get to Vargen Malith, Allizsha's father. But due to the Drow in front of it, it's obvious that the secret exit wasn't so 'secret' anymore. So Allizsha tried to get through it as quick as possible so the remaining Drow would stop chasing after her.
It was a long way but she then entered the new world, she got blinded at first by a welcoming sun and a beautiful view of green lands that made her speechless for a moment after seeing it.
But now the real challenge starts if one could say so, after surviving sixteen years in the Underdark, losing her best friend and mother, not even knowing her father and facing a full armored Drow one-on-one, this shall be the moment that couldn't get worse or is it?.
She only spoke Drow-Elvish, for some reason Abyssal and one or two words Common. Felyn only spoke in Elvish to her, even though she could have taught her Common. But not only that; Felyn told her to not speak in the Drow tongue, doesn't matter the circumstances, surface-elves would probably understand it but recognize that its the Drow version, and that could lead to unfriendly situations, and there is no reason in speaking Abyssal - it would probably just scare all of them away.
So Allizsha did what everybody would do in such a situation, she improvised and tried to learn Common somehow.
After reaching a village near of Neverwinter she pretended that she couldn't speak any language, so they would teach her some basic words, Common is a trading language and quite easy to learn, so it was no surprise that she had no problems in learning it, the bigger the surprise of friendly villagers helping her though. After a short period of time in the friendly farming village, she asked if anyone is knowing a man named Vargen Malith, none of them knew him but a by-passing traveler could hear the Tiefling and told her that he was missing for the past sixteen years now and is probably dead by now, but there is a man named Astragor Malith in Neverwinter, he told her to simply ask for his name. Allizsha was glad to get such a information because now, there is a path which she can follow. But it would be to easy if everything goes well... on her way to Neverwinter and the man named Astragor, she saw a burning cart in the distance, nobody else there - only the burning wood. She thought at first that there was an accident and maybe some people needed help, then she remembered a lesson Felyn'vyll taught her to survive in the Underdark, she then came to the conclusion that it has to be a trap. But what kind of people can she expect on the surface to lay traps on the middle of the road.
She was still unsure about her arcane might and didn't know how to use and control it properly, the fight against the Drow in front of the exit was ended by one unplanned attack, won by luck, and what could one defenseless child do against an obvious ambush - this is all just a unnecessary mind-play, she then thought that it's even possible that there is nobody there and shes getting scared about nothing.
The road was empty in both ways, except the burning wood of the cart in front of her, nobody behind her that could aid her to help if there is truly an ambush ahead. No possible way to avoid it by going away from the street, there were only a few trees and bushes but not enough room for one to sneak by. Still standing at one place on the street in her own thoughts, it probably looked weird for the attackers hiding in the bushes. There is a sixteen years old Tiefling child on the road - just standing there - looking at the trees, bushes and the cart that is burning in the middle.
She took a deep breath and started slowly to walk on the street, getting more nervous with each step closer to the obvious trap, ready for everything that may jump out on the street, well.. its not like she had a huge amount of gold or other valuable items except the dark clothes in Drow style she was wearing and a amulet that Felyn'vyll had, which Allizsha took as a token of memory.
After passing the obstacle on the road she run for a couple minutes just to get sure there is nothing to fear. At the end there was no ambush and no trap, just a burning obstacle on the road for unknown reasons.
Finally in front of Neverwinter she was surprised of how easy it was to actually get in, after telling the guard that she was looking for a man named Astragor Malith, she could enter the city.
Allizsha thought it would be way harder to get into the city, the guard even told her where to go.
Astragor was seemingly a high ranked and well known Wizard that lives in a big house with tower near the center of the city. There was no way that she could miss it, standing in front of the door she didn't know what she should say to the man after he opens the door, but even before she could knock, the door was opened by a big old looking man in long blue robes and white hair, followed by an welcoming; "Greetings young one, I'm Astragor - Astragor Malith - or 'Astragor-the-white-bearded-wizard-that-doesn't-get-out-of-his-home-all-the-time'"
.. he smiled after saying the last phrase in a monotone voice, then continued; "I could sense you standing in front of my door - that doesn't happen very often - i find you interesting because of that - there aren't a lot of people that would gain my curiosity but somehow.. you did it! so tell me tainted one, what brings you to old-Astragor?"
Allizsha told him the whole story, including the Underdark and everything she knew about Vargen Malith - it took more than ten minutes and they were still standing at the door at this time. Astragor nodded repetitive while listening to the story, then answered; "That is a... quite unpleasant life you had there - but that Drow woman you mentioned has to be a really nice person if i may say so, i didn't had the pleasure to meet much of that kind.. to be honest i met no good Drow. Well i don't like talking much, if you may excuse me i come directly to the point, aye? - i sense great powers in you, and as you told me that you want to become an adventurer like my brother, or better said - your father, i thought i teach you in the arcane arts so you have a chance out there."
he looked at Allizsha and smirked; "But as you may already know, you don't need to learn how to use magic because you already have the powers in you - you just need to learn how to control them correctly, that makes you a Sorcerer and no Wizard that has to study for a long time to gain your powers... aaand i don't want you to burn my house down so we better start with the controlling part, i can teach you most of it by myself - but you'll have to study under other wizards for some other important things - you know.. basics and stuff like that, very well then, if you're okay with this, then come in."
Two year passed since then, and Allizsha became a skilled Sorcerer with the help of Astragor which turned out to be Vargen's brother, or more a Control-Wizard due to the fact that nobody out there knows the difference between them, she showed great potential and interest in Evocation and Abjoration - known as attack, damaging spells and the creating of shields and other protection. She had no problems in learning while under the wizard class, she even was the best of them, there was no time in which the wizards in her class weren't jealous of her talent - because she had no problems with everything, while all the others had to study hard, Allizsha just mastered it on her first try. It only took two years thanks to her natural talent in all sorts of magic, additionally she learned how to speak and read fluent Common and surface-elvish and was now ready to get on adventures on her own - to explore this world and the secrets that can be found.
Ouch. I will read it all, but the first thing that hit me: Tieflings are children of Humans and DEVILS. Not Demons. Big big difference.
Now, let's see...
Well, minor grammatical errors overall, but that's just a nuisance to me, a grammar freak.
Other than that, it's rather... shallow. Sorry to tell you this, and I'm really glad somebody went through all this, but I feel that your character's story needs something more... unique. Don't take me wrong though, it's pretty good as it is right now.
Lore-wise, the Succubi don't produce Tieflings when they mate with Humans, the name of this offspring is an Alu-fiend. The children of Alu-fiends are Tieflings though. This is a minor error, not many will notice that. Alu-fiends are close to Tieflings anyway.
On another aspect, Succubi aren't known for their kindness, such as the one shown to both the father and the daughter in this story. They are more, well... devilish. They generally mate out of lust, and they love or care about their partner not.
Finally, the part about the 10-month unconsciousness strikes as a tad unconventional. It is really difficult to explain... how did a man stay unconscious for 10 months, and why?
Overall, it is a decent try, just needs some fixing here and there. I hope that you make said fixes, and I will be glad to read it again if you want. ^_^

Thank you for reading. yes like i said its my first rp history ever!
and I'm from Germany - means English isn't my native language and its kind of hard to write long stories in it^^ I'm sorry for any of my grammar fails.
I did an overall edit. and hope you'll read it again.
This time it's... so much better. It has depth, it is unique, and don't mind my comment about the grammar, you fixed most of the errors, if not all. I have a final thing to tell you on this aspect. Brother-en, as you wrote, is actually brethren.
On aspects of lore, I just want to mention that Tieflins aren't evil, like you mentioned ("not like most of her gifted Tiefling brother-en she didn't want to use Evil magic"). Their alignment actually varies as much as the humans'.
Other than that, I'm stunned. It's really way better now, you gave it an appealing form with minor changes. I can see Allizsha Malith being a very interesting character in Neverwinter.
PS.: I'm taking the B2 Zertifikat of Goethe tomorrow, wish me luck ^_^
Not a problem now indeed. The author of the story had originally written: "Allizsha Malith is like most Tieflings, the outcome of a Human and a Demon."
It is fixed though.

Actually, Tieflings being the scions of Devils is something of Core D&D, not FR.
From that very page: "All tieflings currently alive on Toril are descended from Asmodeus and all have a similar devlish look. Prior to the ascension, the infernal blood could be diluted through intermarriage. Now, the union of a tiefling with another race always produces a tiefling child." (last paragraph, "after Asmodeus' Ascension")
Asmodeus is a devil god. Hence, all Tieflings are devilspawn.

Indeed you are right, at least from this source... Ugh, first time I've read. I was wondering why people were so zealous about this.
Oh dear. More coffee it is.

Not having a definitive answer on which thing it is annoys me to no end.
I don't entirely trust the FR Wiki, and I liked the 3.5 lore where tieflings could have any fiendish ancestry - mostly because I find demons more interesting than devils.

I'm going to check it in the Campaign/Player Guides anyways... That's the reliable source as it is what's written down for DMs.
I swear that I thought I had this right. I can be wrong obviously, so I'll double-check. :P

I think i will update it from time to time. until we are up-to-date
this is the current first part: "The whole background Story before arrival in Neverwinter"
I wrote the end of the Felyn'vyll Drow part completely new. and edited the overall ending so it seems a bit better.
Its written inform of Books in the perspective of some Storyteller, maybe written by Allizsha herself? who knows.
Tiefling heritage is kind of a mess now thanks to 4th edition.
From what I understand...
The player race tieflings are supposed to be descendants of humans who made a pact with devils, and aren't actually descendants of anything but pure humans.
Ofcourse, before 4th edition, Tieflings were just a sub race of plane touched humans that had demon or devil bloodline. So, a demon or devil mated with a human, to create a cambion. Then the cambion mated with a human, and created a tiefling.
And the interesting thing, cambions are still in 4th edition. The hellfire magus' in helms hold are cambions. So theoretically, demon/devil descendant tieflings should exist, they just aren't the player race tieflings... Those ones are the infernal pact tieflings.
Really 4th edition is just a mess, they tried to recon things without realising the domino effect and just made everything all confusing and contradictory.
The way I see it, and since we have no DM to give a ruling.
All tiefling options are fair game.
so..
Devil pact tieflings - the ones who are decendants of humans who made infernal pacts with devils. (the 4th edition standard)
Devil descendants - The ones who are three of more generations removed from a devil ancestor.
Demon descendants - The ones who are three of more generations removed from a demon ancestor.
And on the subject of Succubus... jesus, what did 4th edition do? that's just a mess.. succubi are apparently now on both sides, demon and devil, and who knows where they came from, and what about Malcanthet, the DEMON LORD SUCCUBUS, and then there's Grazzt (basically an incubus demon lord), who is a demon lord but may be a devil, which also makes no sense since his mother is Pale Night, who was the founder of the entire Tanar'ri race.. i.e. DEMONS
I hate 4th edition... as far as I'm concerned, succubi are demons, Erinyes are the devil counterparts...
true but i dont want to write my history new just because 4e sucks ^^
yeah could not agree with you more to be honest. As I said, since there's no DM to make the call either way, best option is to go with what makes you feel comfortable.
I also agree with the guy above me, the demon/devil descendant tieflings are much more interesting, I went with that too, only on the demon side. (all hail queen Malcanthet!)
Also, I got side tracked with my '4th edition made everything confusing' rant. I forgot to say that I like the background! Its always nice to see someone put the time and effort into a characters history like you have, it adds depth and makes the character seem more alive.
This charachter background is really good, in my opinion, simply since there's not that many people who would write such a detailed charachter history.

Astragor was seemingly a high ranked and well known Wizard that lives in a big house with tower near the center of the city. There was no way that she could miss it, standing in front of the door she didn't know what she should say to the man after he opens the door, but even before she could knock, the door was opened by a big old looking man in long blue robes and white hair, followed by an welcoming;
"Greetings young one, I'm Astragor - Astragor Malith - or 'Astragor-the-white-bearded-wizard-that-doesn't-get-out-of-his-home-all-the-time'"
.. he smiled after saying the last phrase in a monotone voice, then continued;
"I could sense you standing in front of my door - that doesn't happen very often - i find you interesting because of that - there aren't a lot of people that would gain my curiosity but somehow.. you did it! so tell me tainted one, what brings you to old-Astragor?"
Allizsha told him the whole story, including the Underdark and everything she knew about Vargen Malith - it took more than ten minutes and they were still standing at the door at this time. Astragor nodded repetitive while listening to the story, then answered;
"That is a... quite unpleasant life you had there - but that Drow woman you mentioned has to be a really nice person if i may say so, i didn't had the pleasure to meet much of that kind.. to be honest i met no good Drow. Well i don't like talking much, if you may excuse me i come directly to the point, aye? - i sense great powers in you, and as you told me that you want to become an adventurer like my brother, or better said - your father, i thought i teach you in the arcane arts so you have a chance out there."
he looked at Allizsha and smirked;
"But as you may already know, you don't need to learn how to use magic because you already have the powers in you - you just need to learn how to control them correctly, that makes you a Sorcerer and no Wizard that has to study for a long time to gain your powers... aaand i don't want you to burn my house down so we better start with the controlling part, i can teach you most of it by myself - but you'll have to study under other wizards for some other important things - you know.. basics and stuff like that, very well then, if you're okay with this, then come in."
Not a problem, Succubi are devils in 4e.

Oh dear. More coffee it is.

I don't entirely trust the FR Wiki, and I liked the 3.5 lore where tieflings could have any fiendish ancestry - mostly because I find demons more interesting than devils.
I swear that I thought I had this right. I can be wrong obviously, so I'll double-check. :P

As for the "demons more interesting than devils" thing, well... not much to say there, you're right.
Will keep checking the Campaign Guide, maybe it's somewhere hidden.

this is the current first part: "The whole background Story before arrival in Neverwinter"
I wrote the end of the Felyn'vyll Drow part completely new. and edited the overall ending so it seems a bit better.
Its written inform of Books in the perspective of some Storyteller, maybe written by Allizsha herself? who knows.
chapter II complete! (look at the post under my first) please tell me your opinions
i know nobody reads it, but im writing it for fun so yes, i appreciate every opinion
