The two major festivals observed in Turmish are:

    1. Feast of the Moon

Also known as the "Festival of Lovers", the Feast of the Moon takes place one night after Midsummer and is celebrated by drinking, dancing, and debauchery. It is a time when new marriages are consummated and the week before this event is usually chock full of marriages. Another interesting fact: There is a tradition of meeting in new/strange places that both lovers and newlyweds observe. Among the most popular spots for such trysts are Bare Bones Hill, the Lake of Drifting Stars, and Starfall Stream Pool.

    2. The Reign of Misrule

Often viewed as a night of excess to keep the larger peace, the Reign of Misrule takes place ten days after High Harvestide; during this one day event, violations of oath, faith, and guild are permitted with the singular exception that it cannot cause destruction or death. This event is restricted to natives of the Reach (for obvious reasons) and is usually responsible for such memorable things as rudeness from clergy and paladins, the breaking of vows of silence by monks, and sundry other astonishing sights.
Maniacal mage making magical messes; mercifully, made mostly of menaces.

Feast of the Moon: Though this feast is celebrated
throughout the rest of the world in winter, Turmish
observes it on the first full moon after Midsummer

The Reign of Misrule: Ten days after Highharvestide is
    the Reign of Misrule.
