festival of lovers " where we feast of the moon, howl manly "
comes back and brawl it out in Reign of Misrule
while monks & hermits jumps of joy ending there vows... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-isGzfYUZ4
Excerpt from the Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide
by Bruce R. Cordell • Ed Greenwood • Chris Sims
Two major festivals are observed throughout Turmish.
Feast of the Moon:
Though this feast is celebrated throughout the rest of the world in winter, Turmish
observes it on the first full moon after Midsummer. It is
the one day that Turmians allow themselves to truly relax,
enjoy what they’ve earned over the preceding year, and
spend time with their families and friends. Turmian merchants go to great lengths to return home in time for the Feast of the Moon.
The Reign of Misrule:
Ten days after Highharvestide is
the Reign of Misrule, a day devoted to destructive celebrations and petty civil unrest in which the normally serious and reserved Turmians let go of all restraint.
Note: The Feast of the Moon is also known as the "Festival of Lovers."
