What is the Arc Client?
Install Arc

Really? REALLY? Stamina is client side? In an MMORPG? That explains a lot.

I think GF gets screwed in this one.

If stamina is indeed in client side, so would blocking, probably. Being able to infinitely block would probably be WAY better than being able to infinitely dodge.

let's go ahead and push for this games ultimate failure, the second they put the quick buck above the legitimacy of their game I stopped caring...

I beg to differ. Dodging totally negate all damage as long as you are perpetually dodging. And you can chase people too with it easily.

Though infinite-dodging doesn't mean immortality anyway. There are MMOs with infinite dodging (Defiance, for instance). Getting hit at the end of your dodge still hurts, as far as I know.

They really need to bring the server down and revamp a lot of coding. I doubt they even care though.
People will come in and say PvP is optional blah blah blah. I wonder if this will help in exploiting PvE too?

Maybe in speedruns to get to the dungeon boss, but once there, you have to stop dodging to actually attack and use skills.

Yup the first of the game client hacks are going public now like the ah did this weekend.

They've been public since closed beta- very few know where to go, or where to look. These days, the average thinks Google is the way to search for things on the net. :o

Oh god who cares...I mean hell, I can hack 90% of my X360 games with a Save Editor...but I don't. I also wouldn't care if 90% of the people on XBOX live did.

I dunno, maybe it's a generational think...I don't want to cheat. It ruins the game. I found anytime I did use a Save Editor on a game like Dead Island or Forza all it ever did was make me stop playing it. Or get a few days of entertainment out of something I would have gotten a few months out of.

I can careless if people want to Stamina up and "Farm" shiat all day and sell it. I'm not gonna buy it anyway. Who the hell wants to buy their Epic Loot from the AH? The whole point is to get it yourself.

And who the hell wants to Farm gear no matter what the circumstances? Its so freaking boring I would just play a different game before I ever had to result to "Grinding" and "Farming" cause neither of these things have anything to do with "Fun" or "Entertaining".

This all comes down to what its been about the whole time. People obsessing about what other people are doing. Nothing less, nothing more. You can't control the world, the game or other people.

Do what you want, play the way you want. Enjoy it for what it is. A Free Video Game!

Every person here could have cheated in Pen & Paper Dungeons and Dragons...but we didn't. Why? What would be the point? We would have just ruined it for ourselves. I don't see this as being any different.

No, I don't play Single Player games. Never liked them. The only single player game I ever played and liked was the Batman Arkham Asylum and City. Even then the whole time I *****ed about how it should have co-op where someone could be Robin, Bat Girl, Catwoman, etc.

That's what killed Elder Scrolls for me. If that just had a 2-4 Player Co-Op I would have played it as much as everyone else...but because it didn't I was done after about 15 minutes.

this has reminded me about this whole thing. the AH in itself ruins the game currently because. most people, once they hit 60 they feel like there is nothing to do. and there is nothing to do but get better gear. the AH makes it so that there is less things to do in the game. you get gear that you did nothing for at all except buy it and then your end-game is gone.

I actually in a way was a fanboy for a while until I started playing the cleric really hard core, and realized what a complete mess the class was. I was getting irritated after playing a rogue and having poor stealth, then i got more irritated after playing a great weapons fighter thinking this is just a glitch they will fix it. But then I played the cleric and saw one thing after another of deliberate bad balance concepts.

I mean seriously....who has a class special ability that is a -40% penalty......they tried to get in some dungeons and dragon concepts....but then decided to really trash the fun and potential with way too many bad game mechanics.

And the saddest part is I didn't really think the cleric was too bad until I started getting killed a lot facing undead....and the first thing I thought form a dungeons and dragons standpoint...."gee i should have a bonus versus undead since I am cleric"....and I couldn't find one....instead I find a penalty for being a cleric....and see numerous hard coded penalties on and beyond....definite non-play by the developers on this....and they definitely don't pay attention to the testers much.

Power without Perception is Spiritually useless and therefore of no true value.

    1) Why would anyone be here if they weren't a Fan? That would be like me hanging out on the Blizzard Forums, or Wizards 101 or Call of Duty. That would be HAMSTER, I don't like those games.

    2) I've been PVP'n all night and didn't notice anything different.

I know you guys think I have been trolling you and being a "Fan Boy" about every exploit you all nerd rage over. Honestly, none of it bothers me and I have not experienced or encountered a single issue, bug or problem that has hampered my experience in any way shape or form.

Maybe I have a better sense of appreciation? May I have a more realistic level of expectation? Either way I will say it again. I got an awesome, super bad arss D&D Game, For Free!

Lets see, guard, stamina and stealth are all client side and there is something to do with clerics also client side.

So if you are wondering how that rouge keeps 1 shotting you, hmm look into the abilities they get with stealth and then imagine stacking them and then again think about what would happen if their stealth never dropped ...

I like the game but its so broken its not funny, maybe not broken just not completed. Lets not forget the auto programs to craft on the gateway.

I just about stopped running instances because of all the bugging people are doing and only reason i run pvp now is for the dailies.....

the cleric issue i think is that we are only seeing dps paragons right now which would make sense to have the penality. Once a healing paragon is released i hope it will be ok and the same with the guardian paragon. Its a dps line so thats why we are seeing what we are with GF right now.

I have a 60 Cleric, GF and CW so i know what you are saying.

Well, if true, this is epic stupid on Cryptic's part. Rule 1 of MMO Design is: "The client is in the hands of the enemy."

However, it's just marginally possible that the client is keeping track of the value but the authoritative value is on the server.
"Participation in PVP-related activities is so low on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis that we could in fact just completely take it out of STO and it would not impact the overall number of people [who] log in to the game and play in any significant way." -Gozer, Cryptic PvP Dev

These threads actually helps save the game more then you think. Submitting a ticket to voice this exploit will probably be responded 2 weeks later with an automated resolved but nothing has been done.
