Hey I still play long hours of RPGs also.
I am a old RPGer and so if Neverwinter MMO
is boring to me then they have a problem LOL
But in fact I am not bored yet,,,the game has great potential,
so many major developments ahead I am sure.
I came here to post about the Icewind Dale days
because it is then I thought about how scary a game like that
would be online and huge with all the PC extras.
Which brought me to my major wish list below.
I was surprised when I found Neverwinter MMO online 'cause never thought they would try it.
I am disappointed not with D&D rules 4 but with not keeping with some traditional
things with the game in general. Collecting Gems: All those gems in the IWD games were so cool
but no use other than to collect. Would be great to use the very same gems in Neverwinter for crafting or collecting or quests.
You notice how MOBs are mostly out in the open while in the early games the monsters leaped out from
their small hidden caves making one put pause and use the bathroom in the dark lol
The Music was mostly scary & expensive to make in early NW games but I find the music not so scary in Neverwinter.
AI: All around NPC AI was so cool in IWD and NWN (Note the chars themselves had cool personalty's compared
to all RPGS ever made!) All this is just well thought out rpg game design and most of it cannot be used in MMOs due to memory
problems. An MMO like Neverwinter more like an RPG PC game will not be a dream someday.
We would need a TiTan like computer to make a true AI MMO RPG that would make one scared to play it! LOL
