Actually, criticism and just being a whiny ***** are two different things.
Criticism is fine.
As a player you should just expect a few things.
1.) Launch week is full of problems. Common sense.
2.) There is no point in complaining about something that is obviously going to be addressed.
If you have criticism write it up in a coherent and concise manner.
For example:
Feedback:
I played for X hours, as X race/class. I had a great time, the animations are very nice and the overall feel of the game is much better than I anticipated for a F2P game. However here are some things I did no like
1.) I have to stop moving to attack, I understand why but I really enjoy running around jumping and **** like the HAMSTER that I am.
2.) Some of the interface was a little irritating to use.... adding my friend to my friend list took us a while to figure out wtf eachothers handles were. The transition to Mouse Look being on all the time is also awkward but I understand why it is that way now.
3.) Not being able to whisper or group with my friend early on was elevenhundred kinds of bull****. Though I understand it's to prevent spam... it was still pretty HAMSTER. That said the ingame VoIP is pretty neat. We were on vent so we didn't use it, but that makes me much less weary about grouping with others.
4.) etc etc
It's not hard to criticize without sounding like a whiny *******. You can't just make a post saying everything sucks and the game is ****, just because the que times are long knowing full well that the que times will be addressed. Or because the cash shop has things in it. Or because you bought a ton of stuff and you feel that you're too cool to wait in a que now. Or whatever.
People are just crying to cry.
The fact is that this game is Free, and it VASTLY surpasses the expectations I had set by other F2P games. I had a blast playing last night with my friend and expect that will continue. I'm not expecting the world, and will probably drop a few bucks in the cash shop eventually when I feel like buying something spiffy to show my gratitude.

oh yeah .. i'm old enough .. still playing my games and loving them. EQ got me hooked on all this stuff.
EQ was the grandfather of them all, and by that I mean the largest player base (for games of it's time), most fun, and has withstood the test of time.
