I only check the forums of games for patch notes, down times, etc. I broke my own rule of not reading anything else after listening to people cry about anything and everything that isn't going their way. The sense of entitlement that most of you have, for a free game, is ridiculous. First of all, the people that paid for the game, myself included, knew exactly what you were getting into and have no reason to cry. To the people who didn't pay, it is a free game, which far surpassed my expectations. If you don't like the game, it is free, you have no obligation to play. O and did I mention, it is free...stop crying, nerds (it is free).
Yeah this has been mentioned many times in those complaining threads. People like to complain, sometimes they don't even need a reason. Oh and look, you're complaining about people complaining, and I'm complaining about you complaining about people complaining. Wait, what does the word complaining mean again? Smile. Go outside. Enjoy life.
The "its free so back off" line is getting old. I would have much rather paid for the game then have to face these ridiculous cash grabs all over the place. Just because the game is free doesn't mean it's free of criticism.

most paid for mmo's don't have stellar launchs and this is an open beta launch so people should have expected issues.

I do agree that this was their "launch", but at the same time, it is free...
People have a right to complain, especially when PW cant figure out how to change the server status light to red when the servers are down instead of green, and also have a simple error message that says "Servers are down for maintenance".
Instead they have inaccurate messages in big font in center of screen that dont reflect the situation.
Sure, they have a little red font message when you first go to log on, but.....would it not be better to have one simple message when you access the login server:
DOWN FOR MAINTENNANCE

The people who have problems with the Queues should just be ignored. The actual problem, in my opinion, is A LOT of the game feels like it's trying to get you to the, overpriced, Zen shop.

Not sure if sarcasm, but i'll respond anyway. Calling the game "free" is a stretch in the first place. They made the choice to go free in feeling that they would get more money. They didn't make the game free out of the pureness of their hearts. If anything, having their game being free is just something nice to fall back on when people have complaints. If the game was truly free, get rid of the Zen shop. The "it's free" should just stop from being used in all these "F2P" games.

You people pay 60 or 200 dollars for a game that was not released yet, and was releasing as a free to play. Your choice to pony up the dough. Now you are whining about XYZ things when the game is 24 hrs old. I never understood the need to purchase collectors editions of games that Ive never played before. Just pay the box price. At least in 6 months when you hate the game, you don't feel like a tool that paid 150+. In this case, 200.
Although, many of the HoTN people are still enjoying the great game.
To all of the Guardian and HoTN people who feel like they are better than the "freebies", you need a reality check. Reality is, that this game WILL NOT survive on you folks alone. Us "freebies" far outnumber both groups combined, we can spread the word around better, and we WILL be spending some $$ in the zen store. Its like the upper class vs middle class. Middle class props up the country folks.
Just because I didnt shell out 200 dollars for a mount, vip access, more bags, etc, doesnt make you any better than me in terms of playing this game. In any regard. Live with it.

I agree 100% with you.

And people like you are why these companies don't have to strive for a better product.
yeah i challenged others on another post to name just 1 MMO paid or free that didnt have problems on day 1 of launch.....no one could answer
sarcastic comment was removed to keep from being banned from the fourmn. Please move along, nothing to see here.

Everquest, and I am only saying that because I am hoping none of you are old enough to remember it's opening
So since other MMos in the past and way back in the past had problems makes this ok? You are part of the problem.
And another person that is part of the problem and has a brown nose.
The thing is, there is no problem tho but you know what they say, "Opinions are like HAMSTER, and your a fgt."
i think you are just very very ignorant...
