Problem with the launcher...

When i click Neerwinter on my desktop it comes up with "Cryptic Launcher Autoupdater" then below in a box it says "Trying to update the launcher. Please be patient. Tried connecting 1 times" then after some time it comes up with "Patcher error". I really don't know how to fix it? I was playing before and had no problem until open beta started...
