During character creation when you choose the control wizard it showed long flowing wizard robes. Are those even in game or was that just for show? All I have seen up to this point is a tunic and a pair of pants? Anyone know?
While i constantly bemoan the lack of a preview system, the level 60 gear can look pretty sweet at times, especially if you dye it. This is me in two T1 items (gloves and boots) and the PvP robe. I'm not a huge fan of the bared midriff, but man do i LOVE the details on this. Straps, layers, and most importantly, a spell book!

My wizard is 15 the robes are horrendous. It looks like a jacket over some pajamas. Not cool pajamas either more like the ones you see in movies miners or homeless people are wearing.
I spend all day reading every thread and letting people know this is BETA.
Well, the sweat pants and t-shirt are actually clothing under your robes. So even with ubar upgraded robes those wont change. And thats the problem. Ive seen tons of robes each with subtle minor difference. But there seems to be almost nothing to cover up the tacky sweat pants.

There are very rare patterns in the professions for shirts and pants, and i'm curious if they look differently, as very rares sometimes do.
I've only just started a CW and the action moves for arcane missiles already get on my nerves, why can't the ball just float forward act like a conduit and have the missiles blast out of that? at least they need to make it a bit less like I'm trying to do muay thai.
Also where is my Off Hand? The Talisman i supposedly carry is nowhere to be seen, shouldn't it be held up and have the arcane/elemental forces flow through it to wreak havoc on my foes?
And where are the long robes and full faced hoods?!!! I'm a wizard a man of mystery and of deep troubling thoughts...my body should be shrouded by flowing robes and my face should be covered by a hood or giant pointy hat...not some stupid *** skull cap.
I'm only level 20 but that doesn't mean i shouldn't look the part. i'm sick of the cool looking stuff always being at higher levels. just because my character looks cool at a low level wouldn't stop me from wanting to progress and reach max level.
I hope the devs see this and feel ashamed they made Wizards look kinda lame.

I do wish my shirt would show, as I'm not too fond of showing bare skin like that. Still, it does look pretty good. I'm lvl 33, btw.

Jez87, you're gonna change gear every 2 levels, you won't even have that much time to look at it before you reach level 40 and the better looking gear starts to drop. Most of the time you're going to spend is at max level anyway.
I hate dancing with Lady Luck. She always steps on my toes.
Khimera96 - I know, but i still believe more effort should be put in to creating more realistic gear for us spell casters. From what i've seen the all the other classes except clerics look awesome from about 10 upward. I don't see why us spell casters don't get more lore/DnD/traditional style gear.
Because fantasy female characters are notorious for extreme body coverage.
I suspect Becky was saying that all of the versions of the new craftable tunics. Cover one up, and are full shirts. Considering she was responding directly to a question about them.
Rather then implying that all outfits should cover everyone fully. I believe your snark might be premature and misdirected.

Yeah, I was trying to explain that if you craft things called "tunic", then you get full coverage. Things called "shirt" are bare midriff.
That is all. One of my rogues personally prefers the bared belly because it goes with her being a punky HAMSTER.
The pointy hat is available in the Wondrous Bazaar for a very large amount of AD, but you will find all sorts of head gear for your Wizard along the way. Also, there are some unique looking drops from solo bosses that you might find interesting. Still, I would advise you to wait till you're level 60 and get an armor set that you will wear for a long time till you customize your appearance.

Anyway the game is still fun and im looking forward to hitting 25 soon, hopefully i'll find a pointy hat or hood soon lol
They gear you up gradually in the game. You start off with the basics armor, weapon, boots. At certain levels you start getting gear drops for new type of gear, i.e. Neck, rings, "helmet".

Full shirts are now available for wizards and rogues. These are craftable and can be used at any level.
I would've been happy with a Hooded Robe http://www.magickagame.com/sites/default/files/genericwizard_1.png as it fits with my idea of what a wizard would be wearing.

Yeah, that's the one.
