To the community;
I am one of those invited that is getting the "account error" while my wife is playing just fine.
Uninstalling and starting from scratch, I noticed that it is not installing correctly.
I am receiving "Failed to Register with Game Explorer"
Has anyone heard of that? and if so any ideas?

I've installed a dozen times and gotten that message most of them. Didnt make a difference for me, with or without message my log-in screen was non-responsive. No reply to my ticket or response to my postings--so much for my Founder's "guaranteed" beta...
I have done the same, including downloading a new copy of the installer.
I have adjusted my firewalls, and antivirus to include shutting it off and to avail.
Although there is no way to gauge how many are on vs. how many are having issues. I would guess this is fairly poor beta start.
I did manage to see the game via my wife being able to log in and play. Was not super impressed. However I could be jaded by the fact that I could not get in.

hey guys
I managed to get through by downloading the client again, via torrent, then installing into default directory, then opening internet explorer (never used it before) and logging into the site in the internet explorer and the game client started patching. hope this helps..
I'm also having this issue and it or something else is preventing the game from connecting to the update server. Is there another fix besides installing to the default directory?

Thank you! This worked for me, having internet explorer open then running the launcher.
luv the game everything ran good until last weekend, im getting same message , i have reinstalled with no luck . gonna try 1 more reinstall from a torrent hope this works
I played the game to about lvl 13ish, then today I started the game and my antivirus(avast) freaked out and put it the virus chest. Ever since then I haven't been able to play. Reinstalled and I got the same error. IT WAS WORKING LAST NIGHT!!! GAH:mad:

your anti-virus has flagged it as a threat and quarantined the game. Check you virus chest, you may need to set the game as an exception.

Had played this morning, went to load up the game later and noticed my install was missing (yep, whole directory gone). When I tried to re-install got the failed to 'register with game explorer' prompt. Tried re-downloading and re-installing multiple times with the same issue. Finally smartened up, disabled Avast and tried to install. While I still got the 'failed' prompt, it made it by that stage, started the launcher and began updating. Anyone else having the problem may want to try shutting down your antivirus during the install and see if it helps.
I had the same issues. I figured out the problem (well, my problem anyway)
I use TeamViewer - it's a remote control application (that's free for home use btw) that program has issues and hates just about anything that uses full screen mode, even certain normal applications it hates. I closed teamviewer and the setup is running now without any errors.

Now i have to do it everytime i want to play... That sucks!!
Please fix that problem.
Where are the admins!
1. Try disabling your Antivirus.
2. Try disabling your firewall.
3. Close Teamviewer (if you have it, or any other rdp software)
Hope it helps.
