So yeah...what's going on here?

Bought the guardian pack ($60) one yesterday. Got 3 seperate emails: "Thank you for your purchase - Transaction ID *********", "Your Neverwinter Founders Pack Transaction Is Not Complete!"‏ and "Your Guardian of Neverwinter Pack".

So I clicked the second email and followed the link to the page where I input a username/id/display name (although I have no idea why I have to do this again as I ALREADY have a display name attached to my account, but whatever.). Do this, sign up button turns into download client button, down the client and login. Game says cannot play at this time or w/e but that's fine since the beta isn't up yet.

So I thought to myself..."Cool, all set for tomorrow...or am I?". I decided to click the link in the second email again just to make sure that my account was ready aaaaaaaaaaaand...I'm greeted with this: http://i.imgur.com/dH5ZJVv.png - What in the 7 hells? Either something dun HAMSTER'd up with my account or this is a bug and is displaying incorrectly.

HOWEVER, I do not appear to have my forum title. Can anyone explain this madness to me? Oh and why I had to put in another username/display name/id when I, quite clearly, already have one tied to my account? (the one I'm posting on the forums with is NOT the one that I entered when I click the link in the email).

edit: That is absolutely amazing, I had 4 paragraphs and this <censored> forum decides not to post them. HAMSTER... LOOKS LIKE I HAVE TO RE-TYPE THEM.

    The only "funky characters" that I used was "(" and ")". Everything except the first paragraph was deleted. I'm currently re-typing it but there is hints of rage throughout and is written in a more...angered tone. It is also less eloquent. Thanks site.

    Post updated. Managed to enable my title. I still don't know if my account is enabled for beta...or why I had to enter a second display name...

    If you can access this forum you're good to go is the general consensus I believe.

    Ok, but why did I have to put in another display name when I already have one tied to this account?

    Username = Your account name don't give that to anyone.
    Display Name = What name you go by on the forums.
    ID = @handle. This ID is to associate all your characters to one name or handle.

    The idea of the ID or Handle is so friends can track each other down easier. And so there is no contest when it comes to securing your name. So if both of us wanted to be called tyestor we could be without using funky icons or anything. As your actual name will be tyestor@handle

    Anyone else confused by all the handles and ID anems and Display Names and Usernames? I don't know which i'm supposed to use to log in anymore and according the the page to retrieve the ID I don't even have one even though I'm obviously logged in. Very frustrating.

    To log into the Launcher and/or Client, you use the same username that you log into the forums and website with. This is not your forum Display Name or your @handle.

    If you have an @handle that is different than your Forum Display Name, this means you merged your old Cryptic Account with your PWE Account. You can have the Cryptic System sync your @handle and your Display Name to be the same, making your @handle be the same as your Display Name. To do this, follow the steps in my recent post here:
    You can have Cryptic sync your names so that your @handle is the same as your PWE Forum Display Name!

    How do this:
    Log into https://secure.crypticstudios.com/startrek/menu
    You may be asked for a one-time security Account Guard code, if so, check your email on your PWE Account for this small code.
    Then click the bottom-most button, "Change Display Name" and then you'll need to click again on the next page for it to process.

    Notice, once done, this cannot be undone!

    Your Founder's pack is automatically applied when purchased. Just by having access here to the Beta forums means it took.
