hey so I was checking craigslist for PCs and found one an hour away for $200 it has the following specs
750GB Harddrive
8GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 3200 Video Card
AMD Phenom X4 9500 QUAD-Core Proccesor.
Thats all it had, what do you guys think? should I try to get it?
It said it runs vista(most people hate it, but Im pretty good with it(and I can always upgrade to the new windows 8)). Yall think it will run Neverwinter Ok?
I may need to call up my good old(and completely insane)friend. He gives me cash sometime because Im his only friend and he wants me to be happy(he has some mental problems but so what)

just my own two cents wait until you play it:) I heard on the lorehound stream the girl say she didn't have it at max settings and it still was quite gorgeous:) if you can play it on your current rig and it still look good then I'd wait on spending money on a new one:)

I would send a ticket to support with dxdiag in it to see if its something else.

That system is not nearly as good as it might appear. That's really old stuff. That Video card only gets 85 on G3D Mark, while the minimum recommended x850 gets 352 on G3D Mark, and the recommended 2900 GT gets 467 on G3D Mark. The CPU is just as outdated.
In other words don't go near that Craigs list computer...it's not even worth $200.00
Death it would be easier for peeps to offer suggestions if they had more info like what pc/laptop etc are you using, do you have a budget to upgrade or buy a new one etc.

200 bucks? that sounds fishy. My PC actually is pretty good i have a HP Pavalion Elite desktop and it actually works really well for gaming you cant max out on all settings in all games but it can run star trek online just fine on good settings and i am sure wont have a problem with Neverwinter too :-).

I couldn't find where else to put this so I'm sorry to invade your thread Death but I was wondering something. I'm wanting to play this game but I only have a laptop computer with a 2nd gen i5 processor and Intel Hd 3000 card. Is that sufficient to play Neverwinter on Medium to Low graphics without lag?
I don't know much about graphics cards so I can't compare the recommended one with the 3000. If you guys could help me out I would appreciate it.

You can try playing star trek online, it uses the same engine as Neverwinter altho in Neverwinter it will be improved somewhat, Intel Hd 3000 is quite decent for mmo play if you are on low budget, tho you should have lots of RAM since it going to be shared with the integrated card

The performance difference between intel Hd and intel hd 3000 is more then double last time i checked (could be wrong)
I had originaly inteded to buy myself an intel processor with intel hd 3000 integrated and not buy a video card, to upgrade my old pc to be able to play guild wars two , turned out it was WAY WAY beyond my budget at that time lol, so i bought a cheap geforce gt 220 for like 50 bucks and i have no problems with it playing online games. im sure it will be able to run neverwinter at a decent pace (im not a graphics fanatic)

I really can't recommend just buying your own parts and upgrading yourself enough. In the long run you'll end up saving the most money, and will probably learn something along the way (if you haven't built one before). It's really not as complex as it seems... and totally worth it.
I used to run outdated systems that could barely run anything - and have a friend who still does. I've got to say, upgrading to a recent system is the best decision I've ever made. Now granted, my more recent upgrades are overkill... but it can be done for cheap as well

I would recommend building your own as well Death. It may seem a bit daunting, but with a little research, and effort you can build an amazing computer for much less than you'll spend on one in a shop. You'll really learn alot too, and be able to take care of many "problems" that cause others to go buy new computers. Plus, you only put the software you want on it, and tweek it for the performance you need.
Once you build your first, you'll wonder why everyone else isn't doing it. Take a week to research parts, and various builds, and then go for it. Only real warning I have, is get everything at about the same time, so you can have everything you need. Getting 90% done, and then needing to wait for the $$$ to buy a video card stinks. I think my first system took me about 2 hours to build and boot once I had everything I needed. Really, it's like working with Legos, things just kinda snap together.

It should run Windows 7 and Neverwinter fine. If not you may need to upgrade the video card. A decent gaming system new though is not that much anymore. expect to pay from $700 to $1200 for a good one. For top of the line you can spend any were up to $5500.
