Neverwinter Timeline?

Hey guys,

Has there been a definitive timeline posted somewhere that chronicles the events surrounding Neverwinter (like the explosion of Mount Hotenow) leading up to the Faerun calendar that NW:MMO takes place?

I'm starting to write my rogue's back story and I want to be sure of specific dates.

The answer is yes and no. The most definitive timeline with full detail was published in a sourcebook by WotC. The sourcebook is called the "Neverwinter Campaign Setting." As far as a link to a vague timeline that doesn't get into nearly as much detail your best bet is the Forgotten Realms Wiki, the entry for Neverwinter being available at http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Neverwinter and http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/New_Neverwinter.

    Hope that helps.

Check my Grimoire of Time for a preliminary list I started to compile, specifically the "Timeline of Neverwinter" Entry XIV. I haven't had much time to actually go and chronicle a lot of the major events though. Hopefully this will be something I will finish in the coming weeks. :)

If anyone has any specific questions or requests for specific entries, please either PM me or reply in my Grimoire with the requests. I'll be happy to provide information that pertains to my Grimoire's premise that the Community would like to see listed here on the forums.

This is great, thanks you two!

So is it safe to assume that the official starting year for the 4th. edition campaign (1479) is also the year the MMO takes place?

Yes. The year is 1479 DR in game. (for why, it is a very detailed analysis so i will skip it.)

Wanted to link to zeb's thread but I see he has already directed you.
