What is winning in Neverwinter?

My thoughts on what is winning for me.
This isn't a single player game where you beat the final boss then put the game on the shelf. I see this game as a bit of a journey I can take with my friends and others I meet in the world. So, for me winning this game is just having fun and playing as much content as I can. :) Yeah I wouldn't mind taking down the big boss but that's the cherry on top for me.

I'm not trying to start a flame war or anything I am actually curious about what people are thinking winning is in Neverwinter.

The good thing about MMOs is you can win every night :)

The thing about MMOs is none of them do anything as well as other types of games can except let you play with lots of other people. In the end it's those people who can make an MMO, no matter how good it is as a game, great. No one ever wins, the game just keeps going until the servers are shut down. But we can all have fun with each other if we try in the meantime.

For me, having fun is my interpretation of "winning" in an MMORPG. :)

It depends what people consider winning in an MMO. My definition is very "Everquest," that is as long as I can have fun playing the game...AND NEVER STOP!

This is totally it for me, but i will say generically winning is what winning is to you.

Surely having fun is priority, but i'll surely have "visual fun": i will like to see how the Neverwinter city has changed with the big upheaval of the last years, and explore the whole sword coast (hopefully a bigger zone than NW1 and 2).

Well, there are dungeons with end bosses and there is getting your character to max level... also PvP... so winning is pretty much winning. Still I have to agree that having fun is more important than winning.

Ive faith in Cryptic's engine. Thats winner for me. Fantasy could look pretty decent. Cryptic's engine is hands down tons of better than Hero Engine. Gamebryo is decent too

I'll add that, at least from my point of view, foundry=fun. Whether i make the dungeon, or i'll play the dungeon made by another player, it will be great.

    For me:
There will be no "winning" untill pvp arrives. Sure, there will be some small pve victories but:
small pve victories < pvp ownage adrenaline.

From other hand i will be happy if i have fun in 3-4 months after release becouse of UGC. This will be win situation too.

Worst case scenario 1: pay2win (as every other PWE games).
Worst case scenario 2: not fixed exploits that ruined Raiderz (another PWE game).

For me winning is having fun, feeling powerful and sharing these feelings with others players like myself.
