Lobby game or ...?

Im trying to find more info on the game, specifically the availability of open areas for player interaction. In other words, your classic MMO town where you may have taverns, areas to trade whether its using game mechanics or just player to player interaction.

I was under the impression this was a lobby game. Meaning, you would log into the game lobby, choose your dungeon delve and either join with friends or join with random people.

Im not finding any videos or discussions on the game outside of dungeon content, and my main interest in MMO's is with random and unpredictable player interaction outside of dungeon settings to properly meet people. Can anyone point me to any info on the game outside of dungeon delves?

Hey ill be happy to help. This is a persistant MMO meaning that its not like other games like say League of Legends where you have a lobby and a dozen or so maps you form a team to play on. This is more aken to other MMOs worlds where you do have a city (the main city of neverwinter) which has a social hub that has taverns, shops etc and the surrounding areas you can visit.. i think a few other towns and some open world quest areas. So yeah. its more of an open world type thing but you will have user made quests that can take you to premade "dungeons" and other areas as well. But yes def open world it takes place in the city of neverwinter and the surrounding areas like Neverwinter Woods :-).

excellent that was exactly what i was looking for and has convinced me to pick up one of the founders packs.

has there been any in-game footage of this published? I'd really like to take a look at it but all I can find is combat videos and promotional non-game videos
