I got friends a-coming. Talked to some friends about Neverwinter and they are interested. I had one say he wanted to help beta test. Also I went to play Magic: The Gathering Gatecrash pre-release and talked to some people about it.

A little off topic, but man I haven't played any magic for a long time. I started playing it when revised edition first came out, oh how I wish I would of started playing a bit sooner to get those Alpha/Beta cards. /drool

I started playing MTG when it first started, still have a few originals. My favorite are the Arabian Night Coumbajj Witches - collected them with a passion, I have hundreds in several editions. I even have an illegal witch deck with nothing but black mana and coumbajj witches that I would play as a joke to unsuspecting folks. My favorite deck though is a a black/green witch and cat deck - but that was years ago, I'm sure it would get its butt kicked by the new cards out.

Yeah, I inform everyone I can about Neverwinter and tell them to keep an eye out for it!

I am generally reluctant about pushing an unreleased MMO in somebody else's game for one reason: I've been playing MMOs long enough to remember how annoying and how flat out wrong these sort of predictions tend to be. When I was playing Everquest, It was always "ZOMG Vanguard/Anarchy Online/FF11/Star Wars Galaxy is going to be the Everquest killer because Everquest sucks!" and then when I graduated to WoW it was "ZOMG Warhammer Online/Aion/DDO/FF14/SWTOR is going to be the WoW-killer because WoW sucks!"

If Neverwinter bucks the mold and proves to be a quality game, I'll lend my support by playing and enjoying it and telling my real life friends that I am. If I didn't think that Neverwinter had potential, I wouldn't be here on its forum, but I do try to practice a bit of prudence when it comes to these sorts of things.

Well up at the local shop I play at we talk about things like that all the time, I know in someway or another most of the guys(and some of the gals) up there.

I gave up that crack addition long ago. I gave away everything I had to my room mate. He recently got an offer on his cards by a dealer. Very low ball offer of $6000. Considering he has a lotus and time walk, about 50 duel lands, and oooh about 4 full sets of every set from Revised to Torment.

Edit: I feel like I have to edit this post because with all I listed it feels as if I'm greatly understating his collection(which I am). But If I keep going It might seem like I'm rubbing it in(which I'm not"). Oh well

I have recruited so many Friends and Guildies to so many MMOs that have flopped that I have no creditablity in the area any more with them. I am telling folks I am going to play this when it launches, but not recruiting them because it might not be for them. This is actually starting to work because they are going "what do you mean this is not for me, how do you know"? I also have to add there are some undesireable populations in MMOs like WOW that I suspect we would be better off without. They might actually kill the game before it gets off the ground.

Ah so you are recruiting using reverse psychology...very clever
